ADMISSION NOTICE 2009

Applications are invited for admission to the following courses of in the University Teaching
Departments and the University Post Graduate Regional Centre (PGRC), Rewari.

1. Courses With Entrance Test:

MA/M.Sc. Programmes: English*, Economics, Geography, Mass Communication, Psychology,
LL.M. and M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Genetics, Botany, Environmental Science, Zoology, Medical
Biotechnology, Food Processing Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics*, Mathematics with Computer Science.

2. Courses Without Entrance Test:

i) 5-Year Integrated Programmes (leading to MA/M.Sc./M.Com. Degree): Mathematics,

Economics (Hons.), Commerce and Visual Arts (6-year).
ii) M.A./M.Sc./M.Com Programmes: Statistics, Hindi, Music (Vocal & Instrumental),
Defence Studies, Fine Arts, Political Sc., Pubic-Admn, History*, Sociology, Sanskrit,
Education and Commerce*.
iii) Diploma/Certificate Programmes: Translation (Hindi-English), Remote Sensing and GIS,
Retail Management, Dance (Kathak), in Harmonium (Courses marked* are also available
at R.G.R.C., Rewari)

MBA-2 Yar/5-Year, MCA, B. Pharma, M.Pharma,B.Tech., LL.B. (Hons, 5-Year/3-
Year,M.Ed., M.P.Ed., B.P.Ed., C.P.Ed., Master of Hotel Mgt,Master of Tourism Mgt.,
Bachelor of Tourism Mgt, BBA (Hospitality Mgt), Dip. In Food & Beverage Production
Mgt., Dip.; in Food & Beverage Services Mgt., Dip. in House Keeping Operation Mgt.,
Dip. In Front Office Operations Mgt., and Certificate Courses in French & Spanish and
Diploma in French)
Entrance test for the courses at Sr. 1 will be held from 2-7-2009 to 4-7-2009 (as per details given in
HBI). Admission to courses at Sr.No. 2 will be made on the basis of merit as defined in Chapter-6 of
HBI.
10% seats over and above the sanctioned intake are available for actual NRIs and their children or
wards. Seats are also available for outstanding sports persons, participants of cultural activities and
Kashmiri Migrants. Admissions of these categories shall be made on the basis of marks of the
qualifying examination.
HBI containing all details and application form will be available on University Sale Counter from 29-
05-2009 for Rs .400/- (Rs.100/- in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana only) and by post from the
Incharge (Publication), M.D. University, Rohtak upto 09-06-2009 by sending a bank draft of Rs.
450/- (Rs. 150/- in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana only)drawn in favour of Finance Officer,
M.D. University, Rohtak payable at State Bank of India, MDU Branch (Coe 4734_). The HBI will
also be available on cash payment at MDU, PGRC, Rewari and Institute of Law & Management
Studies, Sector -40, Gurgaon.
The application form complete in all respect must reach the Head/Director of the Department/Centre
concerned by 16-06-2009 (up to 5.00 P.M.). The applications received late shall be rejected.
HBI and application form can also be down-loaded from University Website www.mdurohtak. and
should be accompanied with a bank draft drawn in favor of Finance Officer for Rs. 450/- (Rs. 100/- in
case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana Only).
