Composing words
When we have 2 words mixed, the new word is taking
the last word’s article.
For example / Zum Beispiel:
Spiel = game is a neutral noun. It has the article das.
=>>> das Spiel

Bei + spiel => Beispiel = example. The article for Beispiel


is das (also neutral) =>>> das Beispiel

In German nouns are spelled with a capital letter, at all times, anywhere inside a sentence or outside it.
There are 3 articles for nouns, according to different genres. der (male); die (female); das (neutral).

der Man = man das Mädchen = lady

der Vater = father das Kind = kid


die Frau = woman

die Mutter = mother

The plural is always with die. And the plural is formed with an extra ending or/and adding an
umlaut.

In German, I (ich) is spelled with a lowercase. (sie) spelled with a lowercase means they, while
(Sie) with an uppercase means you in a polite way. Germans are crazy about being polite at all
times.
