and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

All: And with your spirit.

the Sacrament of Union on one another. As we offer this
Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, let us join MARCO PAULO &
JOWEE ANN in prayer that God may shower on them His

sisters, that o have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in
my words, in what I have done and all in that I have failed to
do. Through my fault, through my fault, through my most
grievous fault; therefore I ask the Blessed Mary, ever Virgin,
all these angels and saints, and you my brothers and

and lead us to everlasting life.

LITURGY OF THE WORD

Commentator: Please be seated and listen to the word of God.

First Reading:

Reader: A reading from the book of Sirach.

Happy the husband of a really good wife, twice lengthened

are his days. A worthy life brings joy to her husband,
peaceful and full in his life. A good wife is generous gift
bestowed upon him who fears the lord; Be rich or poor, his
heart is content. And a smile is ever on his face. A gracious
wife delights her husband, her thoughtfulness pouts fresh
on his bone. A gift from lord is her governed speech, and
her firm virtue is surpassing worth. Choices of blessings ia a
modest wife, priceless her chaste person. Like the sun rising
in the Lord’s heaven, the beauty of a virtuous wife is the
radiance of her home.

The Word of the Lord.

All: Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm:

Psalmist: Let our response be:

The blessings of the Lord be upon us, now and

forever.
Please repeat.
All The blessings of the Lord be upon us, now and
forever.

Psalmist: Happy are you fear the Lord, who walks in His ways.
For you shall eat fruit of your handiwork; happy shall
you be and favored. Response.
All The blessings of the Lord be upon us, now and
forever.

Psalmist: Your wife should be like a fruitful vine, the recesses of

your home; your children like olive around your table.
Behold, this is the man who fears the Lord. Response.

All The blessings of the Lord be upon us, now and

forever.

Psalmist: Your husband shall be like a strong fort, the Lord sent
him to preserve and safeguard you from all harm; he
was sent to love and honor your you. Behold, thus is
the woman blessed who fears the Lord. Response.

All The blessings of the Lord be upon us, now and

forever.

Psalmist: The Lord bless you, you may see prosperity and
abundance all days of your lives; may you see your
children’s children. Response.

All The blessings of the Lord be upon us, now and

forever.

Commentator: Please stand to honor the Gospel.

Gospel Acclamation (to be sung)

“Sing Alleluia, Sing Alleluia, Sing Alleluia to the Lord!”

The Holy Gospel

Priest: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.

Priest: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew.

All: Glory to you O Lord.

Priest: Some Pharisees came to Jesus, testing Him and asking, “Is it
awful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason at all?”
And He Answered and said, “Have you not read that God
who created them from the beginning made them male and
female, and said, “for this reason a man shall leave his
father and mother and be joined to his wife and two shall
become one flesh?” So they are no longer two, but one
flesh. What therefore God has joined together let no man
separate.”

The Gospel of the Lord.

All: Praise to you Lord, Jesus Christ.

Commentator: Please be seated as we listen to the Homily

Homily

LIGHTING OF THE UNITY CANDLE

Commentator: At this point, MARCO PAULO & JOWEE ANN will light
their Unity Candle as a symbol of their marriage. The
candles that they will light represent each of them in the
fullness of their personhood. They come into this marriage
as individuals, without losing their identities. Rather they
create through their commitment the relationship of
marriage. Therefore, this burning candle symbolizes their
commitment to each other and to a lasting and loving
marriage."

Priest: "On the day of their baptism, God began in MARCO PAULO
& JOWEE ANN the process of becoming a Christians. They
were given the privilege of being a light, an example to the
people they would meet. Their process of becoming
Christians continues today. A new dimension is added as
they celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony. Today they
come here from two different families. Out of these two
families, a new family will be created in the Lord. From now
on they will grow together as unique persons becoming like
Christ, the light of the world."

MARRIAGE RITES
Lighting of the Candles

Commentator: Please remain seated for the Marriage Rites.

(The candle sponsors may now light the wedding candles

from the flame of the Unity Candle.)

The candles’ flame reminds us of god’s presence among us

from whom alone can we obtain abiding faith. May this light
always guide MARCO PAULO & JOWEE ANN towards the
life of marital love, loyalty and obedience to the Lord’s will.

May we ask the parents and the Principal Sponsors to kindly

come forward and stand beside the couple to act as

Priest: MARCO PAULO & JOWEE ANN, you have come together in
this Church so that the Lord may seal and strengthen your
love in the presence of the Church’s ministers and this
community Christ abundantly blesses with His love. He has
already consecrated you in Baptism and now, He enriches
and strengthens you more by a special sacrament that you
may assume the duties of marriage in mutual and lasting
fidelity. I assure you of the prayers of our community that
God may pour abundant blessings on your love and help
you carry out the duties of married life.

before God and His Church to make an irrevocable promise
to live for one another, and to share your love, oneness, in
mutual dedication, sacrifice and responsibility. In behalf of

following questions:

Priest: JOWEE ANN, did you come here of your own free will to bind
yourself forever in the love and service of your husband?

JOWEE: Yes Father.

Priest: MARCO PAULO, did you come here of your own free will to
bind yourself forever in the love and service of your wife?

Holy Matrimony, please join your right hands and express

we realize that You brought us together in the beginning
and helped our love for each other grow. At this moment.
You are within us in a very special way. We believe that you
will stay by our side in the days to come to protect us from
any harm that may befall our marriage; to give us courage
when burdens come our way; to ever teach us to forgive
each other when one of us fails. We ask this through Christ,
our Lord, Amen.

Priest: JOWEE ANN, do you take MARCO PAULO here present to be

Priest: And I, by the authority of the Church, calling on all those

present here as witnesses, confirm and bless the bond of
the marriage which you have contracted. In the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Commentator / All: Amen.

Blessing and Exchange of Rings

Commentator: The rings symbolize love in all its aspects of creation.

They represent permanence in the midst of the changing
circumstances of times: beauty, when there is
misunderstanding and conflict; fidelity, when there is an
absence of order, sincerity and trust.

While the bible symbolizes the omnipotent guidance of our

Heavenly Father who is centered in MARCO PAULO &
JOWEE ANN’s lives.

Priest: MARCO PAULO & JOWEE ANN, we shall now bless your
rings. Our help is in the name of the Lord.

All: Who made heaven and earth.

Priest: Let us pray.

Bless, O Lord, these rings and MARCO PAULO & JOWEE

ANN who will wear them. May these rings be a constant
reminder to them, and a sign to the world, of the true love,
reverence and unending fidelity they have for one another.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

All: Amen.

(The priest sprinkles the rings with holy water.)

Priest: Now give this ring to one another while you say your
promise.

MARCO: JOWEE ANN, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love. As it

encircles your finger, may it remind you always that you are
surrounded by my enduring love. In the name of the Father,
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
JOWEE: MARCO PAULO, this ring I give to you as a token of my love
and devotion to you. I pledge to you all that I am and all
that I will ever be as your wife. With this ring, I gladly marry
you and join my life to yours. In the name of the Father, and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Blessing and Giving of Arrhae

Commentator: The coins symbolize the blessings of the Almighty

Father and fruit of man’s labor so that humanity will
constantly live with respect and dignity.
Priest: Bless, O Lord, these tokens of material possessions. Grant
MARCO PAULO & JOWEE ANN with sufficient blessings to
live a comfortable life. Help them to keep in mind that they
are but stewards of whatever they possess, and they are
only rich as they are willing to share. We ask you this
through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.

(The priest sprinkles the arrhae with holy water.)

Priest: Receive these coins as a sign that your blessings will no
longer be held separately but together. Remember that
whatever gifts you have in this life are not truly yours but
God’s. As responsible stewards then of God’s gifts, use them
to praise and glorify him through service to others.

MARCO PAULO, you may now give the arrhae to JOWEE

ANN.
MARCO: JOWEE ANN, I give you these arrhae as a symbol of
my dedication to your welfare, of my total and free
offering to you, as I pledge to take care of you and
cherish you and the family we shall have together.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of
the Holy Spirit, Amen.

JOWEE: MARCO PAULO, I accept them as symbol of your

generosity, sincerity, and faithfulness. I also accept
my responsibility of building a Christian family and
home with you. In the name of the Father, and of
the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

MARCO PAULO & JOWEE ANN. Today, in Your fatherly
love and providence, You have made them one in the
sacrament of marriage. May the mystery of Christ’s

their love for you and for each other, and protect them all
the days of their life.

We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.

Preface

Priest: The Lord be with you.

All: And with your spirit.

Priest: Lift up your hearts.

All: We lift them up to the Lord.

Priest: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

All: It is right and just.

Priest: Father, all powerful and ever-living God, we do well always

and everywhere to give you thanks through Jesus Christ our
Lord. Through him you entered into a new covenant with
your people. You restored man to grace in the saving
mystery of redemption. You gave him a share in the divine
life through his union with Christ. You made him an heir of
Christ’s eternal glory.

This out pouring of love in the new covenant of grace is

symbolized by the marriage covenant that seals the love
of husband and wife, and reflects your divine plan of
love.

And so, with the angels and all the saints of heaven, we
proclaim your glory and sing the unending hymn of your
praise:

Sanctus (to be sung)

Commentator: Please kneel.

Eucharistic Prayer

Priest: Lord, you are Holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness. Let
Your Spirit come upon these gifts to make them holy so that
they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord,
Jesus Christ.

Before he was given up to death, the death He freely

accepted, He took the bread and give you thanks. He broke
the bread, gave it to His disciples and said: “Take this all of
you and eat it, this is my body which will be given up for
you.”

All: My Lord and my God.

Priest When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again, He gave
You thanks and praise, gave the cup to His disciples and
said: “Take this, all of you and drink from it. This is the cup
of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant.
It will be shed for you and for all men so that sins may be
forgiven. Do this in memory of me.”

All: Blood of Christ, be our salvation.

Priest: Let us proclaim the Mystery of Faith.

Memorial Acclamation (recite)

Priest: In memory of His death and resurrection, we offer You,

Father, this life-giving bread, this saving cup. We thank you
for counting us worthy to stand in your presence and serve
you. May all of us who share in the Body and Blood of Christ,
be brought together in unity by the Holy Spirit.

Lord, remember your Church throughout the world, make us

grow in love together with Francis, our Pope, Florentino, our
archbishop, and all our clergy.

Remember also, MARCO PAULO & JOWEE ANN whom you

have brought to their wedding day that, by your grace, they
may always live in mutual love and peace.

Remember our brothers and sisters who have gone to their

rest in the hope of rising again. Bring them and all the
departed into the light of your presence.

Have mercy on us all. Make us worthy to share eternal life

with Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, with the Apostles and
with all the Saints who have done your will throughput the
ages. May we praise You in union with them and give You
glory through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Through Him, with Him and in Him, in the unity of the

Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is Yours Almighty Father,
forever and ever.

Choir: AMEN.

The Lord’s Prayer (to be sung)

Priest: Let us join hands and pray with confidence to the Father
in the words our Saviour gave us.
Nuptial Blessing

Priest: My dear friends, let us now turn to the Lord and pray that
He will bless with His grace, JOWEE ANN, now married in
Christ to MARCO PAULO and that through the sacrament of
the body and blood of Christ, He will unite in love the couple
He has joined in this holy bond.

Holy Father, you created mankind in your own image and

made man and woman to be joined as husband and wife in
union of body and heart to fulfil their mission in this world.
Father, to reveal the plan of your son, You made union of
husband and wife an image of the covenant between You
and Your people. In fulfilment of this sacrament, the
marriage of Christian man and woman is a sign of the
marriage between Christ and the Church.

Father, stretch out your hand and bless MARCO PAULO &
JOWEE ANN. Grant that they begin to live this sacrament,
and that they may share with each other the gifts of your
love and become one in heart and mind as witness to your
presence in marriage. Help them to create a home together
and give them children to be formed by the gospel and to
have place in your family.

Give your blessing to JOWEE ANN, your daughter, so that

she may be a good wife and mother, caring for the home,
faithfully in love with her husband, generous and kind.
Give your blessing to MARCO PAULO, your son, so that he
may be a faithful husband and a good father, cherishing his
family, and true to his commitment of love to his wife,
gentle and strong.

Father, grant as they come together to your table on earth

so that they may one day have the joy of sharing your feast
in heaven.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.
