I. OBJECTIVE
The objective of this Method Statement is to detail the procedure for the assembly of
temporary access stair from basement 7 to level 1.
II. SCOPE
The work includes supply of labor, materials, tools, equipment and services necessary to
carry out the proper erection of scaffoldings and strong hold for safety features of
temporary access stair.

V. PROCEDURE
1. Identify strategic location of the temporary access stair from basement 7 to Ground
floor level.
4. Construct pulley at ground level alongside the location of the temporary access stair for
an easy access of materials to be haul.
5. Install all pulley accessories and start hauling of scaffolding from ground down to
basement 7
6. Ensure hauled materials are enough to form first layer, then start the assembly of
scaffolding.
7. Once finish check and align the levelness of the first layer of scaffolding.
8. Assemble scaffold pipe at every two layer interconnected to A-Frame as shown on shop
drawing.
9. Always check the vertical alignment for every additional fitting of scaffold.
10. Fix and weld ɸ20mm rebar to dowel drilled on excavated wall trench and to scaffold
pipe at the other side.
11. While assembly of scaffolding is on progress, installation of steel ladder and landing
platform will follow until completed and reached to the ground level.
12. Construct temporary access way connecting to landing platform at ground level. Provide
handrail at the access way using scaffold pipes.
14. Provide safety net around the perimeter of the temporary access way and stair.
