VACANCIES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following academic and academic
support staff posts.

1. FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY

Department of Engineering Technology

Senior Lecturer Grade I/Grade II

Preference will be given for those who have doctoral degrees with experience in
research and development in following areas:

Electronic (analogue and digital) Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical

Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation Engineering.

Lecturer (Probationary)

Preference will be given to candidates who have specialized in following areas:

BSc. (four-year) Engineering Degree; Electronic (analogue and digital) Engineering,

Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics and
Automation Engineering.

Department of Information and Communication Technology

Senior Lecturer Grade I/Grade II

Preference will be given for those who have doctoral degrees with experience in
research and development in relevant areas.

Lecturer (Probationary)

Preference will be given to candidates who have specialized in following areas:

BSc (four-year) Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or IT.

Department of Biosystems Technology

Senior Lecturer Grade I/Grade II

Preference will be given for those who have doctoral degrees with experience in
research and development in relevant areas.

Lecturer (Probationary)

Preference will be given to candidates who have specialized in following areas:

BSc. (four-year) Degree in Agriculture, Botany or Zoology with demonstrated track

record in field work in relevant fields.

 Department of Multidisciplinary Studies

Senior Lecturer Grade I/Grade II - English

Preference will be given for those who have doctoral degrees with experience in
research.

Lecturer (Probationary)- English

Preference will be given for four-year degree holders in English.

5. Programmer Cum Systems Analyst Grade II

Preference will be given for those who have experience in development and
maintenance of Management Information Systems.

6. Assistant Librarian

Preference will be given for those who have science based degrees with computer
science.

7. Assistant Network Manager Grade II

8. Instructor in Physical Education Grade II

Senior Assistant Registrar (Academic Establishments) by sending a self addressed stamped
envelope 22 cm x 10 cm in size or personally calling over at the Office of Senior Assistant
Registrar (Academic Establishments) during work hours up to 16.08.2017.

All applications should be prepared in the prescribed application (PDF form) published
by University Web Site and should be filled by hand writing. If any additional details, it
should be attached with the application as Annexes 1,2,3….etc. separately.

Only Sri Lankan Citizens are eligible to apply for the above posts.

The title of the post should be indicated on the top, left hand corner of the envelope.
Applications which do not confirm to these requirements, incomplete applications and
applications received after the closing date will be rejected without intimation.
