NEBOSH International General Certificate
The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is an excellent
foundation in occupational safety and health for all types of organisations. It helps holders
manage risk more effectively by covering a broad range of topics and is ideal for:
• Managers, supervisors, employee representatives
• Those looking to start a career in health and safety

The NEBOSH International Certificate is widely respected by employers worldwide and meets the
requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) and Associate Membership of
IIRSM (AIIRSM).

Course Content
The NEBOSH International General Certificate is made up of three units:

• Fire Safety
• Chemical and Biological Health Hazards and Risk Control

Unit GC3: Health and Safety Practical Application
• Work based practical assessment

Assessment
Courses Available
Units IGC1 and GC2 of the NEBOSH International
Certificate are each assessed by a two-hour written Classroom
examination. Unit GC3 is assessed by a practical assessment • UAE (Dubai): Block
carried out in your workplace. • UK (London), Georgia (Tbilisi), Tunisia (Tunis &
Exemptions Sfax), Ghana (Accra), Spain (Asturias), Sudan
(Khartoum), Turkey (Istanbul)
If you have been awarded the NEBOSH International
• English, Arabic, French, Spanish & Turkish
Construction or Fire Certificate in the last 5 years you will be
exempt from Unit IGC1 and can simply 'top up' by e-Learning
completing Unit GC2 and the practical assessment (Unit • Worldwide
