Impact of Culture and Creativity on teaching

Creativity is possible in all areas of human occupation, arts and sciences, at work and
in all other ranges. I believe that all people have creative abilities and we all express
them differently. When we find our creative powers, it can have a huge influence on
self-esteem and on the final accomplishment.

Creativity is serious imaginative and creative success, relies on knowledge, control of

materials and knowledge of ideas. Creative education includes a balance between
teaching knowledge and skills, and inspiring improvement. In these ways, creative
improvement is related to cultural education. On the other hand we have culture.
Young people live in a period of time of fast cultural change and rising cultural
mixture. Our education has to make them to understand and respect different
cultural values and traditions and the means of cultural change and growth. Cultural
change is the human ability for creative thought and action. Creativity is primarily
important because creativity brings with it the ability to question, make connections,
problem solve, communicate and to reflect analytically.

Culture is important in every day life, culture is what differs us as a nation or

civilization. It is something that has begun with the birth of the nations. Every nation
has different culture that people follow and live by its rules and believes. Culture is
related with religion. Religion makes frames for what we should know and how we
should live. Different cultures and religions have different views of what right or
wrong and what we should do or don’t do, that has a huge impact in education and
teaching. I can mention here the difference in education in the United States and the
Balkan. Here on the Balkan even from early elementary school we have to learn all
the presidents of the United States, we study their culture and geography while they
teach them only about their continent and they don’t even know that we exist. Their
culture believes that children should learn in their early age only very important
facts, and if they make a choice to concentrate on geography or history or whatever
else in their later education than they will learn the more detailed version of the
study.

Creativity is important and its development should be used in schools. Every teacher
should be creative to make her/his class interesting and to make learners enjoy the
lesson. There are different ways of learning something, and different ways for
students to acquire what they are taught. Teachers should be as creative as possible
in delivering knowledge to learners. We can agree that 99% of the teachers when
teaching for example sorts of fruits, draw and color fruits or some of them bring a
couple of fruits in the classroom and present them. This is a boring and less fun way
of learning the kinds of fruits. If the learners are taken for that class in nature and on
a farm where fruits grow, they will memorize them easier and faster than just
writing in the classroom. Students have problem with tolerance and patience this
days so this is a reason more why we should be more creative and keep their focus
on the lesson.

In conclusion I can say that both culture and creativity have a very big influence in
teaching. Culture has sometimes good and sometimes bad influence in teaching
because of its frames and rules while creativity is always welcome and always has a
very good influence in teaching. At the end of the day we should encourage both,
culture and creativity in our teaching.
