Osmosis Video Editor

Hello! This application is for a position editing Osmosis videos. Typically production involves an
illustration phase, a "cutting" phase, an editing phase, and an export/upload phase.

The illustration phase is where we screen capture all the illustrating and hand-writing to be included
in a video. This involves screen-capturing where hand draw text and images, all of which is digitally
recorded via Camtasia. The next phase is the "cutting" phase, where the raw footage is cut and
spliced together to only include usable footage. Once that's done, there's the editing phase, which
involves matching up the audio recording with the cut and spliced clips. Finally, once it's ᣈnished,
the credits are added to the ending bumper and the video's exported and uploaded to YouTube.

This position is for the latter three phases only—the cutting, editing, and exporting/uploading
phases, i.e. the footage will already have been completed and handed off to the editor. If you're

Below are some further details on the video editing position.

Expectations
---------------------
We expect to have 3-4 projects available for editing per week. Depending on the length of each
video, it typically takes 1-2 hours for a proᣈcient video editor to complete the "cutting" phase,
another 2-4 hours to complete the editing phase, and another hour for the exporting/uploading
phase, which means about 4-7 hours per video. Ideally, we'd like to have somebody who's able to
tackle at least 2-4 of these videos per week.

Pay
------
The breakdown for payment is based on how long the video is, as follows:
0-6 minutes -- $135
6-7 minutes -- $158
7-8 minutes -- $180
8-9 minutes -- $203
9-10 minutes -- $225
10-11 minutes -- $248

Essentially ~$23 / each additional minute of video above 6 minutes.

Experience
-----------------
- Required: skills with any video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
- Preferred: skills with Camtasia
- Preferred: skills with other creative suite software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)
- Preferred: some background in science, health and medicine
