Today, Melanie is a graduate of the Wilton School of Cake Decorating and Confectionary Art. She has
completed courses lead by the famed sugar and cake artists Nicholas Lodge, Mike McCarey and Lauren
Kitchens. Her own professional repertoire now includes an extensive variety of design, decorating, and
modeling techniques. Melanie proves cake after cake that this new full-time job is the perfect fit.

While Melanie has designed a host of custom-cakes, her success with A Little Slice of Heaven Bakery all
started with the lemon pound cake. Her mother created the secret recipe and it remains her best seller.
