Definition of Terms:

AMB – Antenna Mounting Bracket

Types of AMB

1. AMB O Antenna = for tubular tower

2. AMB GP Antenna = tubular
3. AMB 3GP Antenna = Tubular
4. AMB L Antenna = Angular
5. AMB H Antenna = Beam

Cable Tray – Horizontal 600mm indoor

Cable Ladder – Vertical 300m outdoor

Sectoral – 150mm

Busbar – metal electrical conductor that makes a continuous connection among several circuit, typically a thick strip of copper

Porthole or Feed thru Plate (FTP) – a plate with holes used as an access for the cables from the outdoor to the equipment room.

Bill of Quantities (BOQ) – a document used in tendering in construction in which materials, parts & labor and the cost are itemized.

BASE PAD / ODU PAD– pad made of concrete or steel where telecom cabinets/gensets are to be located

Size of ODU /Base Pad

Greenfield : 2m x 3m

Rooftop : 900mm x 2820mm

Height of ODU, Fuel/Genset Pad

1. 525mm – if no flood
2. 1.5m - if with flood or whatever is the recorded highest flood level in the area which is supported by a Brgy Flood
Certificate and Confirmed by GT FO, also signed by the lessor.

ON RETROFITTING:

Why we need evaluations?

1. Changed use or occupancy
2. Manifestation of defects/deficiencies
3. Additional loadings/alterations

Retrofitting can be applicable on:

-guyed tower
-guyed mast
-bipod/tripod
-floor/wall mounted poles

Possible retrofitting works for SST:

1. Solution 1 - extension of deadman/pedestal

2. Solution 2 - concrete block or use counter weight

SAI – Strategic Antenna Installation for IDD

SAI for IDD – retrofit affected parts prior to installation

FDD - complete

EXPANSION WORKS:

1. On Solutions
2. Tower SI
3. Tower Retrofitting

Need to know for retrofitting design:

 Need to know the loadings and wind loads
 Loading means the existing and the additional of proposed loadings
 As-built drawing/plan
