Subject: Regarding conversion of the post of Lecturer into Assistant Professor

Respected Sir,

It is to inform you that board has provided the post of Lecturer to us while we have appointed by
MEC as per the guidelines of fifth pay commission (Lowest post Lecturer and minimum qualification
B.Tech in Engg and M.Sc./MA in Applied).
1. In sixth pay commission AICTE/UGC re-designated the lowest post in Assistant Professor with
minimum qualification M. Tech. in Engg. and Ph.D./NET in Applied.
2. In addition to this, AICTE also given the instruction with F.No.: 37-3/Legal/2010, dated 22.01.2010.
The rule no. General (i) of page 1 and (a) (i) of page 2 of this state that there is no provision of
Lecturer in Engineering College and if a person worked as a Lecturer in the fifth pay commission
then he/she shall be re-designated as an Assistant Professor (15600-39100)with AGP 6000/-.
3. In addition to this we also state that some of us have completed the required qualification and others
are pursuing this and likely to be completed very soon.
Therefore you are requested to kindly convert our designation into Asstt. Professor.
