 A preposition links a noun or pronoun to another
word  An interjection expresses an emotion or attitude

 Conjunction

 A conjunction joins words or groups of words

 A noun names a person, place or thing such as  An adverb tells us about an action tells us about an

 Recognizing nouns in sentences:  Type of Nouns

 Look for the words the, a or an that frequently a) Common nouns


precede nouns b) Proper nouns
The driver won a race and an award. c) Concrete nouns
 Look for capital letters that commence proper d) Abstract nouns
