The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering (BSAE) of VSU was awarded by the Commission on Higher Educa on (CHED) as CENTER OF
EXCELLENCE IN AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING .

Dr. Ricardo F. Orge was awarded as
the Most Outstanding Agricultural
Engineer or the Maramba Award. It is

Dr. Orge is a graduate of Bachelor
of Science in Agricultural Engineering

VSU implements Academic Calendar shift

T
he Visayas State University
implemented the shi in the
academic calendar star ng this
school year 2016-2017. With this, First
Semester classes will start in the
August and will end in December
2016. The second semester will start
in January 2017 un l May 2017.
During the four month break, two
summer classes were offered.
Summer Class A started in April-May
2016 while Summer Class B was held
in June-July 2016.
The academic calendar shi is due
to the synchroniza on of the
academic calendars of the Higher
Educa on Ins tu ons (HEIs) within
the ASEAN regions. With this,
students from the ASEAN member
countries can have the chance to
study within the ASEAN regions.
