GENERAL DESCRIPTION

bmSOLUTION OSD 1001 is an aqueous blend of emulsifiers, dispersants and water soluble coupling
agent developed and formulated for the purpose of dispersing oil discharges and oil spills in accordance
with procedures set forth by environmental protection agencies.
It is effective in fresh, brackish and saline waters, completely water soluble over a period of time and does
not contain petroleum solvents. It is also effective upon dilution with water.

bmSOLUTION OSD 1001 has low aquatic toxicity, contains no hazardous materials, biodegradable and
thus is environmentally friendly.

bmSOLUTION OSD 1001 contains excellent wetting agent and emulsifier, characterized by its very
quick migration to the interface. Its surface modifying properties can be utilized to reduce surface tension
and to increase absorbency and penetration.

 Highly effective in dispersing oil spills in any water
 Quick acting. After application, oil slick will quickly become dispersible by wave action or
mechanical agitation on the onshore and offshore areas.

APPLICATION

bmSOLUTION OSD 1001 can be administered using vessel-based ejectors without losing effectiveness.
It can be applied to control oil spill by spraying onto the slick by conventional method such as using spray
boom with pressure nozzle or rotating atomizers mounted on helicopter. The product is very much suitable
for application using vessel based ejector system.

DOSAGE AND CONTROL

Treatment dosage will depend on the extent of contamination and degree of control required.

For light spills, use 1 part of bmSOLUTION OSD 1001 to 100 parts of oil or 10 liters of product for
every 1000 liters of oil spilled.

For heavy spills, the recommended dosage is 1:20 or 50 liters of bmSOLUTION OSD 1001 for every
1000 liters of oil spilled. The dosage could be more depending on weather, temperature and thickness of
the slick.

HANDLING PROCEDURE
Wear safety face shields or goggles, rubber gloves, long pants and long sleeve shirt when handling. Please
refer safety data sheets for details on health and safety information.
