Youth Empowerment is all about the employment and the training programs for the

There are many influences that make the attention of the children today fall short:

television, movies, video games, peer pressure, and the erosion of the family unit as a safe

and supportive environment for growth. Nobody can control some of these influences but their

immediate families, but people who care for them in utmost level ( like relatives, teachers,

friends) can provide young adults with the tools to make healthy, powerful choices; choices

that reflect their true purposes in life. There are varieties of programs that can help children

have a free and fearless communication. It can awaken their innate ability to align with their

own power and to use it to connect with their families, peers, and communities. For parents

and caregivers, there are also a myriad of programs that can help them understand the youth

even more and teach them to communicate openly with their children. Special focus can be

given to revitalizing the communication within the family unit and the elimination of the

"generation gap" through mentoring, activities, creative expression, and group sharing

(Sazama & Young, 2006).

Events to Inspire the Youth

There are several activities youths can engage to in building their morale and uplifting

their weary spirits. The following can be of utilization to help the youth to move forward in

society. One can organize a program-the youth in particular-that aims to promote a healthy

lifestyle for the young people done by the young people too. They can coordinate workshops,

organize activities, and offer healthy snacks in order to educate the youth about the value of

leading a healthy life through physical activity, good nutrition, and education. One can also
devise a summer camp that would provide musical training and counseling to help participants

deal with emotional and personal issues. The goal is to motivate youth through music and help

direct their energy through a positive outlet.

Moreover, one can be a youth-led initiative that consists of an enlightening program for

young people to discuss significant issues in words and an environment that they are

comfortable with. The program may consist of educational workshops organized and presented

by a youth council where they tackle such issues as self-esteem, depression, addictions,

sexuality, abuse, and promote healthy relationships. Another one can be the setting up of an

one must be prepared in conquering and captivating the world. It truly is about the youth in

taking control of the future.

 Therefore, the ball is in the youth's court. A man who will empower himself will identify

the information that is potent enough to empower him. Inspiration is everywhere-you just have

to know where to look. It may be on websites, in old journals, in newspapers, on the notice

boards, in books, in current journals, etc. Such will give you an edge and help you with taking

control of the life that is presented and of course, help you take a stand as a citizen of the

US IMMIGRATIOON POLICY

Immigration from one country to another is wide spreading nowadays. People tend to go to other

countries for different purposes, some of those immigrants preferred to just stay for a few days

but there are some who prefer to totally live in such country for good. The President of the United

States is considering a change in Immigration Policy in the country. In lieu with this, the president

wanted to know first the impact of immigration on different aspects. These aspects include

wages, native unskilled workers, host country Gross Domestic Product and consumer prices.

This will view the impact or effect of immigration to wages and native unskilled workers

as one. The effect of immigration to wages and native unskilled workers are very obvious. New

studies have been released assessing the impact of US immigration policy. The Center for

Immigration Studies (CIS) has released a study finding that immigration reduces the wages of

natives employed in the low-skilled sectors of the economy. Immigration can increase income

inequality in two ways. First, immigrants are poorer than natives on average. Increasing the size

of the poor population increases inequality even if there is no effect on low-income natives.

Second, this study also suggests that immigration reduces the wages of lower-skilled natives and

increases those of higher-skilled natives the basic conclusion of the National Academy of

Sciences study. Because the inequality measure used by the authors provides information about

the entire population, it is not possible to determine which of these two factors accounts for the

increase in income inequality associated with immigration. It seems likely, however, that

immigration both increases the size of the low-income population and redistributes wages from
lower- to higher-skilled natives. Furthermore, the effect is national and not limited to high

immigration areas. Many immigrant workers are negatively affected as well by wage pressure

from other immigrants (Camarota, 1998). In the low skilled workers, the effects seem very visible.

Study shows that native young and unskilled workers are harmed by immigrant competition since

most of the employer is most likely to hire employee who can help them in their business.

On the other hand, the impact of immigration was not only being seen on the wages or on

the low-skilled workers or the unskilled workers. Impact can also be indicated in countries Gross

Domestic Product. After all, the world's remaining superpower, the United State is populated

almost entirely by immigrants and their descendants. It has doubled its population over the past

century and become richer and richer. Other high immigration countries are also among the

worlds wealthiest. Immigrants increase the number of workers in the economy. At the same time,

however, native-owned firms gain because they can now hire workers at lower wages; and many

native consumers gain because the lower labor costs lead to cheaper goods and services. As

with foreign trade, the gains accruing to the persons who use or consume immigrant services

exceed the losses suffered by native workers, and hence society as a whole is better off.

However, all of the available estimates suggest that the annual net gain is astoundingly small,

less than one percent of GDP. In the late 1990s, this amounted to a net gain of less than $10

billion a year for the entire native population, or less than $30 per person. An analysis for 15

European countries over the period 1991-95 found that for every 1% increase in a country's

population through immigration there was an increase in Gross Domestic Product of 1.25% to

1.5% (Stalker, 2001).Of course this does not necessarily mean that immigration caused the

increase in wealth.

Lastly, this will then view the impact of immigration to consumer price. The present

immigration policy of the United States amounts to nothing less than a tariff or barrier to entry on

the commodity of labor and harms American consumer goods. As the cost of labor (itself a cost of

production) decreased, entrepreneurs and producers could produce more efficiently, enabling
them to offer products and services at lower prices as they compete for consumers' dollars

(DeMott, 1994). Lower prices in turn increase the purchasing power of the American consumer,

and thus enhance living standards for everyone. This is happening even now as some small

business owners use "illegal" immigrant labor to lower their operating costs and thus lower

consumer prices: small-business executives do agree that some of their competitors who

knowingly or unknowingly hire illegal immigrants use the cheap labor to undercut prices of

business owners who play by the rules.
