Negosyo Center-Cotabato City conducts Food Photography Seminar

To effectively market their products online, local MSMEs from Cotabato City
were able to attend a seminar on Food Photography organized by DTI’s Negosyo
Center-Cotabato City on November 21, 2017 at Sardonyx Plaza, Cotabato City.

Speaker Ms. Mariecor Malao, President of local photographer’s Club

“Kutawato Kamera Klab”, discussed about the importance and benefits of good
photographs to attract buyers. Photos of the products aside from the product
presentation greatly affect the perspective of buyers whether to buy or not. Thus,
she said, taking good photos is a crucial strategy in selling their products online.

 In addition, she taught about the technical aspects of getting good product
photos. Malao emphasized that good pictures are taken better with good, natural
lighting. Moreover, she also stressed the proper angling of the shots.

Plus, she reminded them to be creative when it comes to product

presentation. She encouraged them to use props which will further enhance the
product presentation to buyers.

After the lecture, a workshop followed wherein participants were given the
chance to take a picture of their own products using what they have learned from
the lecture. A critique session followed wherein the speaker gave valuable inputs
and feedback on how they can improve their photography skills.

Lastly, their best product photos were immediately posted by the

participants on their respective Facebook pages.
