Industrial safety in the context of occupational safety

and health refers to the management of all
operations and events within an industry, for
protecting its employees and assets by minimizing
hazards, risks, accidents and near misses. The
relevant laws, compliance and best practices in the
industry have most of the issues addressed for the
best protection possible. Employers are to make
sure that these are strictly adhered to to have
maximum safety. Industrial safety covers a number of issues and topics affecting safety of
personnel and equipment in a particular industry. The following topics are generally
discussed:

General Safety - General aspects of safety which are common to all

Occupational Safety and Health - Particularly associated with the occupation

Process and Production Safety - Safety in the process and production etc.

Material Safety - Safety of the materials used in the production

Workplace Safety - Safety issues directly related to the workplace

Fire Safety - Fire safety, in particular the risks associated to the industry

Electrical Safety - In general and in particular, arising from the equipment used

Building and Structural Safety - Safety in general including installations as per existing
building code

Environmental Safety - Issues of environmental safety (direct or indirect impact of the

industry)

Industrial Security is the technical speciality of the Occupational Health and Professional
causative Risks of the Work accidents.

CARE WITH THE EQUIPMENTS OF PERSONAL PROTECTION

The equipment of personal protection is designed to protect the workers of the external
aggressors, having present that the same ones do not eliminate the risks, only they serve to
minimize his consequences. It is important bear in mind also that the personal protection is
neither the first one nor the best solution to protect the health of the worker, his efficiency
depends, largely, on a correct selection of maintenance and suitable use. These elements
must be of individual use in benefit of the hygiene and of the adjustment to the personal
characteristics of the user. Later let's sense beforehand some important recommendations:

· Protection for the head · visual protection · protection telephone earpieces · respiratory
protection · hand protection · protection for the head · protection of the feet · protection for
the body · protection for the head · protection for the head.

Laws

It should be noted that according to the established In article 434 of the Labor Code,
employers with more than ten (10) workers are required to develop and submit for approval
the hygiene and safety regulations, which must be renewed every two (2) years.
