God, being aware of the vigor that is in youth, made it his aim
to call most influential biblical ministers in their youthful
stages; David, Samuel, King Soul, Daniel, our Lord Jesus and
his disciples, Timothy and many more. He did this because he
knew that even ministry work requires more energy.

Nevertheless, the youthful stage in life has so many

address these challenges in our youth even elders so that they
can become the most reliable human resource of the church as
well as the nation.

AGENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Rejoice oh young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the
days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know
that for all these things God will bring you into judgement. Ecclesiastes 11:9
Heavenly father has given you freedom to do whatever you want to do on this earth in your youth. However, he
has also given you agency, the ability to choose right from wrong and act for yourself.
While you choose your course of action, you are not free to choose your consequences. Consequences will
follow as an expected outcome of the choices you make.

We are a youth of epoch. We have been energetic in our activities and we have achieved quite a number of
things to perk up the youth ministry at our local church. Some of the activities comprise the trip to the Lake at
Salima district. The trip led by youth patron Mr. Mwase, attended by 14 members, was pleasant as we indulge
ourselves in swimming, and sports activities.

On 24 october, 2016 history repeat itself when another trip was organised for the youth. This time it was more
funny. Mrs Madomba the then youth matron led the group to the Lake and the church leadership supported us
through.
Our trips are not mistrustful as we are always been accompanied by a matron or a patron to advice and control.
We always thank the church leadership for the surport and encouragement through.

Youth yeyeye!
Yeyeye is a catchphrase that was on peak throughout our annual district conference held in Mchinji.
Area 49 youth was in attendance. The conference extended with a hospitality tour at Mchinji District
Hospital where among other things we swept around hospital premises and minister to the sick people
in wards. Pastor Chazuka led the youths of Lilongwe, Mchinji and Kasungu district to this impressive
conference.

DATING AND MARRIAGES
A date is a planned activity that
allows a young man and a young woman to get to know each other better.
In cultures where dating is tolerable, it can help you learn and practice social skills, develop
friendship, have innate fun and eventually find an eternal mate.
Young men usually take the initiative in asking for and planning dates. At all times be kind
and respectful when you ask for a date or when you accept or decline one. While on a date, be
considerate as you listen to others and express your own feelings.
As you grow, make dating and marriage a high priority. Seek a companion who is worth to go
to the church to be sealed to you for time and eternity. Church marriages and creating an eternal and a
humble family are essential in God’s plan of happiness.

Everyone in life want to have a good life, but none want to change mindset, we realise that money is
important in today’s life but we don’t live a life of making money. “Those who cannot change their
minds cannot change anything” George Bernard Shaw said. Therefore, upon realising that life is
about changing, and adapting to change, the youth committee organised a seminar with an assign to
develop mindset of youths towards good destiny and to provide knowledge and understanding of
business. Mr Mbanda and Mrs Kabala facilitated the seminar.

Taking the stage Mr Mbanda a Zimbabwean, inspired the youth with his tutorial. His much emphasis was
discouraging the youth from investing with borrowed money. His presentation took about 1 hour and 30
minutes. And being a Masters Degree holder in Accounting, his presentation was well conversant and
breathtaking.
Furthermore, Mr Mbanda urged the youths not to rely much on salaries. “Salary will Mrs Kabala was influential to the seminar

On 15-17 December Chilima mpunga ground in
Ntandile was over flown by the gospel of Jesus Christ brought by
area 49 Apostolic Faith Mission led by Bishop H.P. Maonde.
Though challenges such as heavy rains were of disturbance, still the
Holy Spirit manifested itself and the gospel was shared to many
souls. It is our prayer and a wish to organise another crusade to
revive souls in Ntandile and many areas. Many thanks to the church,
Gospel outreach Band and Ntandile residents for the support you
shared, may the good Lord bless.

Sunday school has been a part of church way of life for years. Unluckily, its significance has been severely
diminished and underestimated. Sunday school is the place where we really learn how to excavate in the word.
It is where children engage in real conversation about God and his word while making friends and establishing
bonds of love and fellowship.

Timoteyo (translated as timothy in English) magazine is a booklet that will
make you boot back and calm down with friends, family and church. We’ve all
worked hard over the past years for the betterment of the church and are looking
forward to a well-deserved A.F.M. The much- anticipated reputation of the
church gives us all time to reflect on the years that were and to take a stock of
our achievements, successes and struggles, and plan for the coming years with all
their potentials for new things.
They say youths are leaders of tomorrow. Yet the truth remains that youths are
leaders of today. The youths have being pillars and flag careers of A.F.M ever
since. They have carried difficult tasks and passed challenging paths. Yet they
didn’t GO BACK OR weary with youth ministry. That’s why we published this
magazine as a gift for the work well done.
It is true that being a young person is so thrilling. But being an inactive young
person is so pathetic. I love youth ministry, I really do. But the thing is the
church should not segregate the youth for its own sake. They are part of the body
