KLAVIER – BACHELOR

Anforderungen / Termine

Die Zulassungsprüfung besteht aus einem Instrumentalvorspiel, einer Prüfung der Grundkenntnisse
der allgemeinen Musiklehre sowie der Deutschkenntnisse, falls Deutsch nicht Muttersprache ist.

1) Instrumentalvorspiel-Prüfungsprogramm:

- eine anspruchsvolle Etüde

- ein Werk von J.S. Bach
- eine klassische Sonate (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven)
- ein Werk der Romantik oder der Moderne

Die Leistungen werden mit einem Punktesystem bewertet, wobei das Instrumentalvorspiel das meiste Gewicht
hat.
Die Kommission wählt aus den jeweiligen Prüfungsprogrammen eine Spielzeit von ca. 15 Minuten aus.

2) Teilprüfungen aus Musiktheorie sowie Feststellung der Deutschkenntnisse:

Ausnahmslos alle Bewerberinnen und Bewerber, die das Instrumentalvorspiel bestanden

haben, müssen zur Musiktheorie und gegebenenfalls zur Deutschprüfung antreten und diese
positiv ablegen!

Anforderungen:
 Prüfung der Grundkenntnisse der allgemeinen Musiklehre (schriftlich und mündlich)
 Deutschkenntnisse, falls Deutsch nicht Muttersprache ist (Niveau A2)

Deutschprüfung:
Ausnahmslos alle Bewerberinnen und Bewerber, die das Instrumentalvorspiel bestanden haben und deren
Muttersprache nicht Deutsch ist, müssen zur Feststellung der Deutschkenntnisse zu einer Prüfung antreten.
Jedenfalls muss ein Nachweis der Deutschkenntnisse im Niveau A2 (GER 2001 – Gemeinsamer
Europäischer Referenzrahmen) am Tag der Deutschprüfung erbracht werden. Sollte das bei der
Deutschprüfung vorgelegte Zeugnis ausreichen, kann die Deutschprüfung erlassen werden. Dies entscheidet
der zuständige Prüfungssenat vor Ort. Als Nachweis werden akzeptiert: ÖSD-Zertifikat (Österreichisches
Sprachdiplom Deutsch) oder ein Goethe-Zertifikat, ein Reifezeugnis aufgrund des Unterrichts in deutscher
Sprache (gem. § 63, Abs. 10 UG 2002), ein positiv absolvierter Deutschkurs am Mozarteum, für
Bewerberinnen und Bewerber aus Südtirol eine Bescheinigung über die Zugehörigkeit zur deutschen
Sprachgruppe. Die Prüfung sollte jedoch nicht länger als 2 Jahre zurückliegen!

Wenn keine ausreichenden Deutschkenntnisse festgestellt werden, ist eine Aufnahme zum Studium
nicht möglich!

WICHTIGER HINWEIS:
ALLE Klavierzulassungsprüfungen werden in 2 Runden an 2 verschiedenen Tagen abgehalten

Deutschprüfung: 29.Juni 2018
Prüfungsort: Mirabellplatz 1

 Entrance examination Instrumental study programme

Requirements / Dates

The entrance examination consists of an instrumental audition and a basic music theory test. For
applicants whose first language is not German a test of proficiency in this language is also required.

1) Instrumental audition – Examination programme:

- a demanding etude
- a composition by J.S. Bach
- a Classical sonata (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven)
- a Romantic or Modern work

The committee selects a playing duration of about 15 minutes from the respective programme.

(The accomplishments will be evaluated by point system with the audition carrying the most weight)

2) Theory exam, piano exam and German proficiency exam:

Those of the applicants who have passed the examination on instrument will be further
examined without exception: Theory exam and German proficiency exam.

Requirements:
 Audition on basic music theory (oral and written)
 Test of German proficiency (level A2) for foreign language applicants

German examination:

All applicants whose first language is not German, must take the obligatory German examination. In any case,
on the day of the German examination a proof of German proficiency on level A2 (according to the CEFR
2001 – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) must be presented without exception. If
the certificate is recognised as sufficient the German examination will not be necessary. This will be decided
by the corresponding examination board.The accepted documents of proof are: an ÖSD-Certificate (Austrian
Language Diploma of German) or a Goethe Certificate, an university entrance qualification obtained as a
result of German language tuition (§63 (10) Universities Act 2002), a German course passed at the
Mozarteum University, for applicants from South Tyrol an official confirmation of belonging to the German
language group.The exam should not date back more than 2 years!

If the required level of German proficiency cannot be determined, the admission for the study
programme is not possible in any case!

9.00 a.m.: Registration/assign of exams to all Bachelor piano applicants in front of the “Kleines
Studio”, 10.00 a.m.: Start of the exams, 1st round Bachelor
12.00 a.m.: Registration/assign of exams to all Master piano applicants in front of the “Kleines
Studio”
1.00 p.m.: Registration/assign of exams to all postgraduate piano applicants in front of the
“Kleines Studio”
June 26, 2018, to June 28, 2018: Kleines Studio: 10.00 a.m.: Exams according to the registration
from June 25, 2018;

ATTENTION:
ALL piano entrance examinations will take place in 2 rounds and on 2 different days!

Music theory: June 28, 2018

German proficiency exam: June 29, 2018
