Course Objectives:
1. This course will present and utilize an integrated approach to help students in learning the basics of supply chain management.
2. This course provides students a systematic learning opportunity for better decision making in operations sector.
3. Students completing this course will have basic knowledge of supply chain and operations sector.
4. This course will develop the students understanding of the various components of the integrated supply chain.
5. The course will provide each student with an exposure to different aspects of supply chain and operations sector.

Pre-requisites:
The student should have a preliminary understanding of Production and Operations Management and Supply Chain Management.

At the end of the course:
1. Define the supply chain and logistics concepts in decision making
2. Classify strategic issues in supply chain management.
3. Interpret critical parameters of measuring supply chain performance.
4. Apply basic ideas, and practices in the field of supply chain and operations management.

Pedagogy for Course Delivery:


The course will be a combination of theoretical and case based styles. Classroom interaction will definitely have to be an integral part of the learning experience.
Case studies will be discussed and analysed in class. Industry experts shall come and discuss their experiences with students.
