VisionPLUS® Flex, an extension of First Data’s proven
global payment product VisionPLUS, is a comprehensive
payment software product offered on server-based
infrastructure. VisionPLUS Flex lowers the total cost
of ownership and increases return on investment by
offering flexible licensing and managed service on a
cost-efficient, mid-range infrastructure.
About VisionPLUS Flex
The payment industry poses many challenges to financial institutions
(FIs) as they strive to remain competitive and relevant to their consumers.
These challenges include the need to process payments in-country
due to government and industry mandates, the continued need to
lower operating costs, and the transformation of existing IT platforms
to support today’s business demands and new technologies. For the
IT organisation, the challenge is to support the business in fulfilling its
geographical and product expansion plans, as well as to right size the
IT infrastructure and operations as portfolios grow, split, or contract.
VisionPLUS Flex solves these challenges by providing FIs a cost-effective
alternative to process portfolios of up to 10 million accounts on a single
platform. It provides processing support for issuing and acquiring of
credit, debit, prepaid, consumer, and commercial cards, as well as
consumer loans, for private label and global brands, American Express ,®
JCB, MasterCard and Visa . It operates in any country, for any currency,

LOWER TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP
Operating on mid-range servers and the Linux operating system lowers
operational and up-front capital expense for FIs. The VisionPLUS Flex solution
is engineered to accelerate installation, simplify maintenance and ensure the
optimal, scalable configuration to provide maximum benefit.

PRE-CONFIGURED
The VisionPLUS Flex solution is available in three configurations, delivered
as an appliance, designed to handle production with High Availability and
Disaster Recovery for portfolios in sizes of 2, 5 or 10 million accounts. The
VisionPLUS Flex solution is currently available on HP Converged Infrastructure
operating with x86 processors and the SUSE Linux operating system.

• 2m Solution Configuration – HP BL460 with 14 cores, 32GB memory
and 8.1TB SAN storage
• 5m Solution Configuration – HP BL460 with 20 cores, 64GB memory
and 16.2TB SAN storage
• 10m Solution Configuration – HP BL660 with 32 cores, 128GB of memory
and 32.4TB SAN storage

The configuration solutions have been engineered to meet the rigourous

and demanding needs of the payment processing industry for security and
reliability and contain all the requisite environments needed for development/
test, management and backup.

PROVEN PERFORMANCE
Through comprehensive performance tests, VisionPLUS Flex is certified by
First Data to ensure performance capability when processing simple or
complex payment portfolios. With its partner ecosystem, First Data keeps the
VisionPLUS product relevant as the marketplace continues to evolve, with new
and updated technology and continued investment.

GROWTH SUPPORT
VisionPLUS Flex can support FI’s growth plans through an easy process to upgrade
to higher volume packages, or to go from one configuration size to another.

GLOBAL SUPPORT
Professional Service support for the implementation, ongoing maintenance and
development of VisionPLUS Flex is provided by First Data, or FIs can choose
certified support partners, available globally and locally. All parties leverage
First Data’s best practices and extensive set of solutions. First Data will also
provide compliance and support for mandates issued by global payment brands.

FLEXIBILITY IN DEPLOYMENT
FIs have choices in the deployment option that best suits their business need.
Whether the preferred model is in-house under license operation, an application
managed service, or processing by First Data, the same VisionPLUS product is
