Angels from the realms of glory, 4. Saints, before the altar bending,
Wing your flight o'er all the earth; Watching long in hope and fear;
Ye who sang creation's story Suddenly the Lord, descending,
Now proclaim Messiah's birth. In His temple shall appear.
Refrain
Come and worship, come and worship
Christ, the newborn King. 5. Though an Infant now we view Him,
Come and worship, come and worship He shall fill His Father's throne,
Worship Christ, the newborn King. Gather all the nations to Him;
Every knee shall then bow down:
2. Shepherds, in the field abiding, Refrain
Watching o'er your flocks by night,
God with us is now residing; 6. All creation, join in praising
Yonder shines the infant light: God, the Father, Spirit, Son,
Refrain Evermore your voices raising
To th'eternal Three in One.
3. Sages, leave your contemplations, Refrain
Brighter visions beam afar;
Seek the great Desire of nations; James Montgomery in Montgomery's Sheffield
