I, Bea Czarina B. Navarro, am a bona fide senior student taking up a bachelor’s degree in Political
Science at the University of the Philippines Diliman. As part of being a student in Political Science, I am
currently taking up a Political Science elective, namely Polsc 152, which is mainly about the Legislative
Body of the Government of the Philippines. To finish the aforementioned course, we are tasked to create
a public policy which would solve the current problems of the Philippine Republic.

The predicament that I chose to focus on which really interests me a lot is the shortage in the electrical
power generation which is an issue of today’s generation that must be addressed as soon as possible. I
initially drafted a policy proposal wherein the Philippines would promote the usage of nuclear energy as
source of electrical power because of the efficiency that nuclear energy provides.

With your expertise as the director of the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute, I would like to ask if I
could conduct a one-on-one informational interview with you on your preferred time, date and place. I
firmly believe that you are more than capable to help in the shaping of my policy proposal.
