Anatomy & Physiology Syllabus
1. Late work
Late work will be accepted for half credit up to three days after an assignment is due. After three days
have passed, the student is no longer eligible to turn in late assignments.

2. Work Make-up Policy

Excused Absences/Field Trips

You will be given the same amount of time to complete the assignment as the class was given.
If you are absent on the day an assignment is due, you are expected to turn in the work on
the day that you return.

Unexcused Absences/Unverified Absences/Skipping

You will NOT be allowed to make up work (tests, quizzes, assignments, or labs). This includes
missing your class due to staying in another teacher’s class without my permission.

Missed Tests
Taken within one week or per teacher arrangement. Tests and quizzes will be made up before
or after school at an agreed upon time with the teacher.

Missed Quizzes
Taken within one week or per teacher arrangement. Tests and quizzes will be made up before or after
school at an agreed upon time with the teacher.

Missed Labs
Due to their complexity and the availability of supplies, not all labs will be able to be made up.
You need to make every effort to be in school on lab days. If the absence is excused, you will
be excused from the lab work.

3. Reassessment Policy
Retakes may be given for particular assessments based on the teacher’s discretion.

4. Testing Aids
Periodic tables will be used on some chapter tests.

5. Cheating /Academic Integrity Policy

See the school academic integrity policy.
VACATIONS:
It is your responsibility to find out what was missed when you are absent. If a student is aware that they will be on va-
cation during school hours, then it is their responsibility to collect assignments PRIOR to their absence. Students who
have questions about assignments are asked to contact their teachers with any questions prior to their absence, or can
email their teacher with questions during their absence. All work must be completed upon their return to class. Any
issues/factors that prohibit students from completing assignments must be communicated to the teacher no more
than two days after students have received the assignments from the teachers. Any missed tests/quizzes are to be
completed upon a student’s return to class.

SUSPENSIONS:
It is your responsibility to find out what was missed when you are absent. In the event of a suspension (in school or out
of school), then it is the student’s responsibility to collect assignments from their teachers. Assignments for suspended
students are available in the Attendance Office, which is located directly across the hall from the Main Office. Students
who have questions about assignments are asked to contact their teacher with any questions via email. All work must
be completed upon their return to class. Any issues/factors that prohibit students from completing assignments must
be communicated to the teacher no more than two days after students have received the assignments from the teach-
ers. Any missed tests/quizzes are to be completed upon a student’s return to class.
