End the dialogue in a suitable way.
2 Complete the dialogues with the correct
relative pronoun (omit it if it can be omitted),
and then read it aloud with a partner.
A: What do you call the sport people
play with rackets and balls?
B: Is the area they play called a court?
A: That’s right.
B: And are the main tournaments, take
place in Wimbledon, France, Australia and the
United States, called Grand Slams?
A: That’s right. I think you know the answer!
B: Yes, tennis. I really like watching Wimbledon,
the players still play on grass.
A: Did you watch the women’s singles final last
year? Petra Kvitovà, left-handed
serves are amazing, beat Maria Sharapova.
B: Yes, I did. It was the first time
had won Wimbledon.
A: The winners of both the men’s singles and the
women’s singles were new, is really
unusual.
B: And great players like the Williams sisters,
have won the titles many times, were
knocked out quite early.
