A. INTRODUCTION:
On reference from Executive Engineer, Road Infrastructure, East, BBMP, Bangalore vide Work
Order No. EE/RI-East/W0/36/2013-14 dated: 21.01.2014. Design mix of Bituminous Concrete
for the work of Improvements and asp halting of Arterial and Sub Arterial roads in East Zone for
2013-14 GOK grants -Package - 2 in our laboratory vide our reference Test Order No. 4/841
dated: 25.04.2014.
Plant Address: Sri. Maruthi Constructions, No. 200, Marenahalli Village, Hennur Bagalur Road,
Bangalore North Taluk.
The important criteria kept in view while designing the mixes are gradation of aggregate and density
of the mix.
The recommended mix is obtained on the material properties and also the specific requirements of
the job.
B. MATERIALS:
2. Aggregate Coarse Aggregate- Angular crusher broken 12mm, 6mm down size.
The results of test conducted on above materials are tabulated in Table 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

C. BITUMINOUS CONCRETE:
The details of the mix design carried out are shown in Table 5. The same has been summanzed is as
below:
D. CONCLUSIONS:
The mix design has been carried out using the constituent materials supplied by the customer. The
mix proportions suggested is arrived at based on the characteristics of the constituents and tested
for conformity to the specifications. The recommended mix is satisfying all other requirements.

and the contractor has accepted for the execution and completion of such Works and the remedying
of any defects therein at a contract price of Rs.4.00 Crores (Four Crores only).
l. a. KRIDL shall execute and complete the works based on the drawings and estimates as per the
standard specification of KPWD duly approved by BBMP.
b. Estimate is prepared by BBMP based on CSR 20 I 3- I 4 of Bangalore Circle and administratively and
technically sanctioned by BBMP, entrusted to KRIDL with 8% KRIDL Charges exclusively for this work only
vide consent letter No.KRIDL/WORKS/BBMP/201 3-14 Date: I 3. I 1.2013.
2. The work shall be completed within 8months from the date of handing over the site, work
order/agreement whichever is later.
3. a. Defect liability period shall be I 2 months from the date of satisfactory completion of the work. The
maintenance period shall be 2 years after the defect liability period of 12 months and maintenance
charges shall be paid to KRIDL as per approved estimate for the 2nd& 3rd year at approved rate.

b. defect liability period shall be 36 months from the date of satisfactory completion of the work.
4. I 00% of mobilization advance shall be paid as per sanctioned estimate cost at the time of execution of
agreement.
5. The mobilization advance shall be adjusted in the final bill.
6. a. If the rates of certain items of works not found in this SR then the same shall be obtained from SR of
Minor Irrigation/National Highway/PRED/KUWS&DB.
b. For items not found in any of the SR data rate shall be prepared and got approved from the
competent authority\ ./
