Jesus is the Object of Our Love Monday
John 21:15-19 Epistle Project: Romans 10:5-21

The gospel is profound, and we can and will spend

our lives knowing more fully the wonders of the cross.
However, the gospel is simple too. Romans 10:9 says
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved.” When a person can see their own
need to have their sin forgiven, read about what Jesus
did on the cross and know that it is true, believe in his
resurrection, and submit their lives to him as their Lord,
they can be saved. It’s that simple. The thing which
keeps a person from being saved is not difficulty in
understanding, but difficulty in believing and submitting.
But once we have believed and submitted our lives to
Jesus and his simple gospel, we will spend our lives diving
deeper into the riches of his profound and unfathomable
gospel.

Tuesday
Epistle Project: Romans 11:1-10

In Matthew’s gospel, we read about the angel who

appeared to Joseph and told him what to name his son
(1:21). Not only does the angel say what to name Jesus,
but he also says why; “…for he will save his people from
their sins.” In our text for today, we see the phrase “his
people” repeated. As we walk through life, we no doubt
have experienced people walking away from or outright
rejecting Christ. This can leave us in a similar state that
Elijah found himself in, but don’t miss what this passage
has to teach us; the repeated theme that God, through
Christ, will save all of His people from their sins. Find
confidence in your faithful God who “has not rejected his
people whom he foreknew.”

Epistle Project: Romans 11:11-24 Epistle Project: Romans 12:1-2

In this passage Paul refers to the Jews by saying things like, What comes in to your mind when you hear the term
“their trespass,” “their failure,” and “their rejection.” Ultimately, “worship?” For most, it is likely music. It is not uncommon to
