This daylong retreat, led by visiting Soto Zen Priest Jiryu Rutschman-Byler, will
include traditional elements of Zen retreats, including Zen-style sitting meditation and
walking meditation. There will also be a dharma talk and opportunity for

An Evening with Jiryu
Friday, February 23, 6:00 - 7:30 pm
Join us for an opportunity to learn about Zen practice with visiting Soto Zen Priest Jiryu
Rutschman-Byler. This evening will include teachings by Jiryu and some short
meditations. This program is open to the public with no registration required and is
offered on the basis of dana or mutual generosity. For more information about the

During this five-class series, Resident Dharma Teacher Erin Treat will offer
instructions suitable for those who have never tried meditation before as well as

Quieting the Mind, Freeing the Heart

Registration is now open for the spring retreat! During this five-night retreat, we will
engage in Buddhist practices of lovingkindness, mindfulness and insight meditation,
developing an embodied awareness of our present-moment experience. This five-night
retreat at Kelly Place in McElmo Canyon is suitable for both new and seasoned

The Mindfulness-Based 12 Step Group has added an additional meeting time: Sundays
from 4:30-5:30. The group is an open gathering blending mindfulness and the 12 Steps
as resource tools for developing healthy relationships with ourselves and all other
people, places and things.
