Grade EK.10

Cash ElementsDescription
Basic Salary AED       a fixed monthly payment.
Accommodation An Accommodation Allowance of AED 16,075 per month will be provided.
Transport Allowance AED 1,700 is a fixed monthly cash allowance paid as a contribution towards travel costs.
Profit Share Eligibility Subject to Scheme rules and eligibility criteria, Profit Share (if any) is normally payable as follows:
 Full payment for 12 months continuous service in a financial year.
 Pro rata payment for 6 months continuous service in a financial year.
No payment for less than 6 months service in a financial year.

Non-Cash Elements Description


Annual Leave Entitlement 288 working hours per annum (48 calendar days - excluding public holidays).
Leave Ticket and Destination Once per annum for employee, spouse and 3 children up to their 19th birthday to the agreed leave destination (to
the nearest International Airport on the EK route to their home).
Education Support Allowance For academic year starting before 1st September 2014, this is provided on a pay and claim basis up to the
following annual fee limits:
 Primary - AED 42,000 per child per academic year.
 Secondary - AED 63,000 per child per academic year.
Maximum of 3 children
For academic year starting on or after 1st September 2014, this is provided on a pay and claim basis up to the
following annual fee limits:
 Primary - AED 46,000 per child per academic year.
 Secondary - AED 70,000 per child per academic year.
Maximum of 3 children
Life & Accident Insurance Life and Accident Insurance is provided for up to 48 months basic salary.
Medical Insurance Category A Medical Insurance:
 Employee - cover provided by Company.
 Family - mandatory cover provided (premium for family is paid by the employee).
End of Service Benefit (EOSB) Company provides EOSB Gratuity or Provident Scheme whichever is higher.
or Provident Scheme EOSB Gratuity:
 First 5 years of service 21 days basic salary per annum.
 Above 5 years of service 30 days basic salary per annum.
Provident Scheme contributions:
 First 10 years service Company contributes 12% of basic salary, employee contributes 5% of basic salary.
 10 years + service Company contributes 15% of basic salary, employee contributes 5% of basic salary.
GCC Nationals No EOSB exists for GCC Nationals who are enrolled in their respective Government Pension Scheme. Company
and employee contribution as determined by the applicable GCC Government Pension Authority.

Additional Information Description


Concessional Travel Employee and eligible family members, unlimited number of Cat A (subload)/ Cat C (Firm) tickets on EK routes.
(Eligibility is subject to completion of 3 months service for some elements of concessional travel.)
Class of Travel Y/J - Economy class with upgrade to Business class if available. Please note children under 13 years of age are not
eligible for any upgrade facility and must have at least one accompanying adult travel with them.
Working Hours Contractual hours are 42 per week, however all management staff are expected to work such hours and days as
are necessary to fulfill the requirements of the job and meet the needs of the Company's business. This includes
time spent on duty travel.
Probation Period The period of probation on joining the Company is 6 months.
Notice Period The notice period required by either party is 3 months.
Retirement Age The Company’s retirement age is the employee’s 65th birthday.
