b. What talents or qualities do you need to be
able to do these jobs or activities well?
c. Which of these talents are people born with
and which are learnt?
d. What talents have you got? How do you use
them?
e. How important do you think talent is in
success?
f. Who are the highest earning sportsmen and
sportswomen in the country? What sports
do they compete in?
g. Do they deserve the money they receive?

2. Think about your childhood and discuss these questions.

a. Did your parents encourage you to take part in any
activities outside school, such as sport or music? Did you
enjoy them?
b. Should parents expect their children to be successful? Can
this be a bad thing?

3. Look at the photos:

a. What do you see in each image?
b. Choose two of these photographs and
discuss what they have in common and how
they are different.
c. Which of the images of men and women do
you find the most normal? the most shocking?
the funniest? the most unrealistic?
d. How are the roles of men and women
changing in your country? Do you think these
changes are for the better?
e. If you had the choice would you speed up
this process of change or slow it down?
f. What do you think the situation will be fifty
years from now?
