Devised a polynomial time algorithm for 1-d point placement problem- counting version, and gave

exponential but better than brute force algorithm for 2-Dimensional point placement problem.

Serial and Parallel Implementation of Eclat Algorithm Sept- Nov 2015

Implemented eclat algorithm for frequent item set mining and calculating their support counts.

Parallelized using threading library in python by assigning one thread per subtree of counting
supports within sub trees at depth 1 from the root.

Betting based snakes and Ladders Feb-April 2016

Guide: Prof.Rashmi Duttah Barua

Each player is allocated 1000 units of money initially. Betting is done at each turn to throw the dice.

Number of moves to finish the game from current position is made through simulation techniques.

Optimal Money allocation strategy is decided through genetic algorithm using distribution of number
of moves as feature

Various AI based two player Games Sept-Oct 2014

Self (Group of 2)

Connect Four: Two Player AI game using mini-max algorithm. Used alpha-beta algorithm to improve
computational efficiency. Could think up to depth level of 6 to 8.

Sudoku : Implemented backtracking over some iterative filling methods in a grid. Could solve up to every easy,
medium level Sudoku.95% accuracy for hard level and 15% accuracy for evil level Sudoku based on the
puzzles taken from websudoku.com.
Technologies Used : Codeskulptor, Python.

Web Search Engine AUG-SEPT 2015


Dr. SanasamRanbir Singh, Department of CSE, IIT Guwahati
Developed a basic web search engine using python library Whoosh and web2pyframework. Indexed about 30,000
web pages using inverted index method.
It supports AND, OR and NOT Boolean queries as well as phrasal queries. Compared the system performance with
ranking schemes such as TF, TF-IDF and BM25F.

Basket Ball Mania AUG-NOV 2014


Dr. S. B. Nair, Department of CSE, IIT Guwahati
Along with a team of 5 students, made a prototype of Basket Ball, in which a canon throws the ball with the speed
proportional to given acceleration to sensor card towards automated basket. If ball is successfully basketed then
score will automatically incremented on the screen of PICboard.
Sensors used: AMGP (measuring acceleration), LDR(detection basket accomplishment), Motor was used to pump
the ball through canon.
