Findings in Communication

Pre-Spanish:

Most of people in this period communicate to others by writing on the

barks of trees, on leaves and bamboo tubes, using pointed instruments such as

knives, and other sharp tools and the colored saps of trees as ink.

Spanish:

In Spanish era the communication becomes widely developed because

the newspaper was already introduced and through the help of it everything

becomes easy. They also used literature, music and arts.

American:

In this era, the communications they use are newspaper, radio and television to

communicate with other person. Using this media, they inform more people about

the issue and events in one country.

Modern Society:

In modern society, the Philippines used modern communication using

internet to communicate with other who are far across the country. It is the

fastest way to communicate.


Findings in Transportation

Pre-Spanish:

During the pre-Spanish period, the only transportation they use is

balangay. This balangay is a kind of boat made from woods and aluminum.

Because the country is a Philippine Archipelago, it is surrounds by water or

ocean.

Spanish Period:

Habal-habal and kalesa are one of the transportation vehicle they use

during Spanish period. Habal-habal is also a kind of boat that can be use above

the water and kalesa is a horse-drawn calash used in the Philippines. It was one

mode of transportation introduced to the island in the 18th century by the

Spanish colonizers, and was initially reserved for high ranking civic officials.

These are today rarely used in the streets except in the tourist frequented area of

old cities and some rural areas.

American Period:

During this period, they influenced Filipinos to use submarines which can

be used as transportation inside the blue water, carretelas, railways, ancient bull

cars and cars. wherein, America has have the newest technology to innovate

more and more kind of transportation vehicles.


Modern Society:

In this modern society, the newest and fastest technology is one of the

major factors that influence Filipino to have a innovative kind of vehicle. Filipino

was now use e-bike or electric bike which is very easy to use because it

consumes electricity not a gasoline. A van is also a modern transportation and

MRT/LRT can cater more passengers to travel on their destination.


CONCLUSION

The Philippine is an emerging market with a fast growing economy. The

country is considered as a newly industrialized country with a great transition

from a conventional agriculture based economy to one of manufacturing and

service delivery. The country exports consumer electronics product, garments,

petroleum, and copper and transport equipment. It trades majorly with the US,

China, Singapore, Taiwan, Germany, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Korea and

Netherlands. Its economy is strengthening by the day and the economy in the

south Asia region.
