TELANGANA CONGRESS MONITORING GROUP

September 3, 2010
Respected Thiru CHIDAMBARAM garu,
The very mention of the designation of Union Home Minister is much special
to the erstwhile Hyderabad state.

This is the land which organized movement to Join India and got integrated
by the first Home Minister into Indian Union on September 17, 1948, exactly
after 13 months two days of Indian independence.

In this Nizam state, Congress was banned and its members were kept in jails.
Members of Hyderabad State Congress joined the people to organize
camps out side its territory to train for the struggle. Its members organized
broad casting through separate radio station, that too from out side the
borders. Several died in this part while trying to hoist the Indian National Flag
during these 13 months.

The young warriors who took part in this join India movement were respected
by Union Government as freedom fighters. These freedom fighters have also
lent their support, encouraged the natives and sacrificed their lives for the
cause of freedom to Goa.

The parts those gone into Maharastra and Karnataka officially wear festive
environment on September 17 every year.

1. This culmination of your Ministry monitored Police Action, the then

Operation Polo, whose expenses were recorded as part of contingency under
Union Education Ministry, shall be suitably communicated again to the
Government of Andhra Pradesh so as to treat it as official festival for this part
– which is now having unprecedented mass upheaval.

While conveying greetings for your coming Happy Birth day on September
16, TELANGANA CONGRESS MONITORING GROUP requests your kind
self to send a written communication to the Government of Andhra Pradesh
to give official status of festivity on September 17.

2. Your December 9, 2009 announcement is treated as initiation of

process to curve out 29th state called Telangana by several countries and four
crore people of this land. Subsequent developments have created certain
pressure on your kind self and on Union Government. Hence, your January 5,
2010 all party meeting and subsequent appointment of Justice B. N. Sri
Krishna Committee.

The time limit to submit its report is till December 31, 2010.
The committee is proceeding with elaborate process of consultations and
field visits, where as the students of various stages right from Intermediate in
the region are hurrying up to complete their study of syllabus by that time
limit.

3. Your open call to the Government of Andhra Pradesh to withdraw

cases against the agitators and students of the latest agitation is yet to take
be respected and subsequent pressures on you and on the state Government
needs no mention.

Even Supreme Court had to spare its time to save the students of Osmania
University.

4. Whether your written request to the state Government is possible for

withdrawing the cases, some of them under severe sections which will spoil
the future of those students and the state Government will show its
generosity of withdrawals are known to us.

How ever, if your kind authority impress upon the state Government to
withdraw all the cases against all the agitators across all the regions of the
state before and following December 9 announcement on the symbolic day of
September 17, it will go long way in the history.

5. Now, TELANGANA CONGRESS MONITORING GROUP reminds your

kind self about your December 9 announcement, in which you have called
upon the Chief Minister to move a resolution in the state Assembly. The
strength in the state Assembly of 294 total members is naturally of other parts
and Telangana members are 119.

And constitutionally, there is no such requirement to have such resolution

prior to your process.

Your Ministry’s initiative of Justice Sri Krishna Committee will meet almost all
other requirements.

And it is amply clear that there is no peace in Telangana till it achieves

separate statehood.

Hence, TELANGANA CONGRESS MONITORING GROUP appeals your

esteemed authority to take initiative as per the constitutional provisions and to
expedite the process of separate statehood to TELANGANA.

With Warm Regards

RAPOLU ANANDA BHASKAR
