Football players kneeling, staying in the locker room, and locking

their owners were disrespectful to the country that day. During week

Was The US Election Run By Hackers?

By Ryan Cleary and Jake Gallagher

New information has recently surfaced involving Russian

hackers leaking information to influence the 2016 United States
presidential election. These hackers, known as the Fancy Bear
group, created fake news on multiple social media sites in order to
disparage Hillary Clinton. The hackers did this in an effort to help
Donald Trump win the presidency.
These hackers obtained emails from the Democratic
National Convention, DNC, involving Hillary Clinton and gave
them to Wikileaks to be released. The DNC is the governing body
for the Democratic party. They manage the Democratic Party's
strategies on county, state, and national levels (“Democrats.org”).

Is Catalonia In Or Out of Spain?

By Vansh Harkawat More In Political News...
On October 26, 2017, Catalonia voted to declare independence from
Spain (Washington Post). Catalonian people want to become their own
independent country and separate from Spain. Catalonia is a region in
Spain consisting of many cities. This argument started in 1714 when King
Philip V conquered many different territories and one of them was
Catalonia (Telegraph.co.uk).
Catalonia has wanted independence because they are economically
advanced compared to the rest of Spain. Since Catalonia has many different
seaports, they can easily trade, causing the economy to advance. If
Catalonia wants independence, then they will have to sign many treaties,
set up their own currency, army, get funding, etc.
Many people have different viewpoints on whether or not Catalonia
should be its own country. MaryPat Forenza, a Spanish teacher at Warren
Middle School says, “I don't know if Catalonia is ready to handle the
financial and political stresses of becoming independent. To be an
independent nation, you need to be part of an economic community.”
Others on the streets of Catalonia have different opinions about this. Credit: Patrick Chappatte
“I want a fair country, a more social and leftist country, and I believe the
best way to achieve that is leaving Spain,” said Marc Becat, a 22-year-old
who works in sales in Spain (Politico.eu).
A leftist country refers to a country with left-wing politics. Left-wing
politics supports egalitarianism, which is social equality.
Catalonia has wanted independence since 1714 and has been protesting
ever since. If Catalonia does become its own country, it will affect the global
economy. In order to start a new country, the Catalonian government will
have to borrow money from different countries around the world, causing
the global economy to be affected.

This year, a new show called “The Good Doctor,” captures
how a person with autism can save people's lives. “The Good
Doctor,” which premiered on ABC on September 25th of this fall,
involves a young surgeon with autism and Savant Syndrome who
wants to become a surgeon. He is trying to be hired into the
pediatric surgical unit of Saint Bonaventure Hospital. His
mentor, Doctor Glassman, is fighting for him to be approved as a
surgeon by the board of San Jose Saint Bonaventure Hospital.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is the an exciting and action-packed
sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service. Its genre is a combination of
action, comedy, and a bit of mystery. In the movie, the plot revolves
around an evil billionaire, Eggsy, who is faced with a threat against the
world and a mysterious narcotics company called the Golden Circle. This
is not the only concern. After an attack on the Kingsman, they seek help
from their “cousins” in the states, the Statesman.
