BNDT provides welder training, welding, fabrication and consultancy to the engineering and fabrication
industry. We are able to offer specifically designed training, welding and fabrication to suit your exact
requirements either at your premises or in our stainless and/or carbon workshops. Training on all materials
can be covered.

We use Fronius multi-process inverter welding sets as standard and can accommodate up to 6 welders
on any one day. John Turner who has over 40 years experience in all aspects of welding offers friendly and
relaxed training in a comfortable environment.

Training can be aimed at welders of all skill levels who either desire to improve their skill set or learn new
techniques. We’ve helped novices, intermediates and welding specialists.
Process covered are T.I.G…..M.I.G/M.A.G.....M.M.A

Weld Procedures and Welder Qualification Tests can be carried out after the training or as a stand alone
service.

Manufacturing Codes that are covered include ASME,AWS.BS EN 15614 & BS EN 9606.Radiography
and NDT of test samples can be done in-house before Mechanical tests are carried out.

 About Us
Since 1987 Bolton NDT & Inspection Limited (BNDT) has provided a comprehensive range of non-destructive
testing services to our existing customer base. Our work covers a wide variety of engineering disciplines. In 2013
we decided that a Radiographic Inspection Department was required to complement our existing services and
enable us to offer the complete service. In order to provide this we needed to occupy and develop larger premises.
BNDT moved into its new 12,000 sq ft premises in January 2014 and the testing facilities were completed in June
2014.

BNDT now has three purpose built bays available to carry out Radiography on pressure vessels, castings,
forgings, pipe work, WPQR’s and WQT’s. We are able to handle items up to 10 tonnes and size ranging up to 2.7
metres diameter and up to 10 metres long.

Our management team have a wide range of experience in most engineering disciplines and fully understand the
value of a fast turn round and the negative impact should this not be achieved. We aim to complete all Inspection
work within an acceptable time frame for all our Clients-working 24/7 if required. This will be refreshing news for
many companies that have not had this service available to them in the past.

We also have on-site Carbon and Stainless welding facilities where any remedial work can be either carried out
by our coded welders or by your welders who would have access to our high specification Fronius welding
equipment. Obvious advantages would be minimising the ‘down time’ in your production schedule and a
reduction in transport costs and thus your companies carbon footprint.

• Minimise transport logistics and interruption to your contract programme by carrying out
remedial work at our premises.

• Minimise ‘on site’ Radiography by utilising our Bay 1 facility for large components.
