Abstract

The purpose of this investigatory project is to conduct a study on the formaldehyde

content of five most common varieties of fishes sold in the largest public market of Masbate
City. It has been a known fact that formaldehyde more commonly known as formalin is used as a
preservative and as disinfectant for parasites among fishes. Most common fishes available in
