Now I am going to ask you a few questions. If you can’t understand me, I can repeat the
question once. Let’s get started.

TASK 1

INTERLOCUTOR:

You are working as an au pair in London. It is Christmas time and you want to visit your
family in Hungary. You are at the travel agent’s. (The agent’s role will be played by the
examiner.) You would like to book your flight ticket to Budapest.

Ask for some information about the details

You wish to buy a single ticket, but when you get to know that a return ticket is cheaper you
decide to buy a return ticket.

PROMPTS for the interlocutor:

- What can I do for you?


- When would you like to travel to Budapest?
- You are going to arrive at Liszt Ferenc Airport.
- The time of departure from London Heathrow airport is 8 a.m. GMT and the time of
arrival at Budapest Liszt Ferenc Airport is 11 a.m. CET.
- A single ticket costs £165. I suggest that you should buy a return ticket. If you buy a
return ticket it will cost you less money. It is only £150.
- You can pay by credit card or cash.
