Aims and Objectives

W elcome to blossom Foundation India.The Foundation for the Promotion of Film Arts and Crafts is
India's only non-profit, non-trade union Film promotion organization, founded by well-known film-
makers, artistes, marketers and film personalities.The Foundation strives to promote Indian Films and
related Arts throughout the world, in turn assisting international film makers & marketers to understand
and approach Indian markets.

The Foundation has laid down multiple paths towards reaching its goals, including;
Acting as an agency for marketing Indian Films & TV software worldwide
Assisting Indian Filmmakers in accessing Film Festivals & markets worldwide.
Assisting Indian Filmmakers in exploiting newer Locations, pre & post production facilities
worldwide.
Assisting foreign filmmakers in filming in India as well as in aiding formation of Joint production
ventures, thereby enabling greater Information, Cultural & Business exchange between the Indian
Film Industry (the second largest film industry in the world) & the rest of the world.
About us

We are a group of people striving to create a positive and impartial forum for interaction between the producers, filmmakers,
distributors, exhibitors, artistes and the industry-related professionals in India and abroad, apart from disseminating
information on International business trends and scope for Indian filmmakers and helping promote Indian Films and related
arts throughout the world.

In tune with our aims, we co-founded the Foundation for Promotion of Film Arts and Crafts, with the best of the Indian Film
Industry as founder members.

The Foundation for Promotion of Film Arts & Crafts is registered as a non-profit organization.

We plan to create this forum as harbinger of better business and global understanding of Indian films, and shall leave no stone
unturned in achieving the same with your help.

The aim of the Foundation is to foster an appreciation for film, video, other moving-image media, audio and techniques and to preserve and
disseminate knowledge about them as powerful means both of aesthetic expression and cultural understanding. We serve and seek to expand
a multinational and multicultural community of artists, creative people and audiences through round the year exhibition, education,
annotation, advocacy, encouragement of artists and celebration.
The main objectives of the Foundation are :
To promote all aspects of the film, video, audio, animation and performing arts (media) and to foster education and awareness among
members and the community.
To facilitate media production in the community and liaison between governing bodies and the public.
To undertake public educational projects, by encouraging international and multicultural co-operation, providing opportunities for
presentation of media works.
To render service of a non-profit nature, to assist and sponsor media creators, workers and events.
To raise funds for carrying out the purposes of the Foundation in such a manner as the it shall deem fit.
To organize Film Festivals throughout the world, in collaboration with International Film Festival organizers.
To create awakening and promote new, deserving talent in respective fields of film art and craft.
To form a board for marketing and exposure of Indian & foreign films in major international film festivals, markets through events or road
shows.
To promote, develop, encourage, support, maintain and increase the quality of films and film- making in India.
To aid, stimulate and promote developments in the field of film-making in India.
To look after the welfare of such persons, class or classes of persons and to start a Benevolent Fund for the benefit of the persons or class
or classes of persons in need of such help, either by loan, donation or other contributions.
To give all information in matters affecting Films, Film Arts and Crafts in India and other countries.
To encourage and finance research and technical developments, equipment, machinery, products and processes with a view to promoting
Film arts and crafts in India and abroad.
To help formation of Association and/ or bodies in different parts of the country in general interest of the people associated with Films,
related arts & crafts.
To acquire patents, designs and inventions likely to be of use to the Film arts and crafts fraternity
The Foundation being a group of Indian and International film archivists and experts from the academic world, government, cultural
institutions and private organizations whose primary aim is to collect, preserve, manage and provide access to the Indian audio-visual
heritage.
The Foundation shall also undertake active search and restoration of old classics as well as promote Indian films and culture worldwide.
To encourage education and research through publications and training.
To continue recording the memories and thoughts of archive professionals and paraprofessionals in order to build up a resource bank for
research and information about archive work and the profession.
To develop the exchange of views and information and the encouragement of good practices among those concerned with the acquisition,
preservation and arrangement of film and sound archives.
To sponsor International and National Film Festivals, and to celebrate the art of filmmaking in all its diversity and depth. To facilitate and
promote a broader spectrum of film and video for the community and provide educational opportunities and facilitate general discussions
for film lovers and aspiring film makers.
To organise:
1 To show low budget and art-house films which are generally not screened in local cinemas,
2 To provide the opportunity for members to view foreign language films,
3 To produce or help produce films which are in line with the Foundation's objectives,
4 To enable members who share love for films to socialize together,
5 To encourage interest in and study of films as a form of art and as a medium of information
and education;
6 To encourage an intelligent and discriminating attitude towards films; and
7 To enable its members to see films of cultural, artistic or technical merit which, owing to their
age, country of origin, lack of appeal to the general public, or for any other reason, are not
normally exhibited in commercial cinemas.

culture, independent media and civil actions.

Membership Fees & Charges
Membership, for a very limited period, is open for just an Admission fee of Rs.1000/- with an annual
subscription of Rs.1000/-which means a total initial payment of Rs.2000/- right now. The annual
subscription also includes the annual subscription for the magazine. Your membership shall enable
us to market up to three films, along with the film listing/description on our website. For every
additional film, there shall be a nominal fee of Rs.500/- per film. The Foundation will charge you a
commission of just 20% on the total gross on sales towards its costs.
Marketing Collateral
For us to be able to go ahead and market your film, we would require an English version (or with
English sub-titles) of the film on a CD, it’s synopsis in English, at least 3-4 stills from the film, short
biography of the producer/director and photocopies of any Press or any other publicity. Cost of this
shall be borne by the member. In addition to this, you will have to give us a declaration that the
rights of the film(s) to be marketed vest entirely and totally in yourself, and that you authorize us to
market the film for you.
