I have done all this and more w ith my ow n life numbers. If you are
astrologically inclined, do the Solar Returns of each year and see w hat
you find. The w hole purpose of this is to focus the mind onto one’s
ow n life stream. This focussing is not analytical, indeed, the process
abhors analysis. It is the realm of imagining and then self remembering
– or at least a preparation for this. The exercise itself is another
version of “Recapitulation” w hich Carlos Castaneda refers to. Indeed,
you w ill, if you delve a little deeper in w hat I’ve just given above, find
not only clues to the notion of Fate but also clues to one’s Destiny.
These clues are not uttered in any w ay by me, but rather by the very
simplicity of the gods – Numbers. The Ancient Egyptian concept of
Neter is close in meaning to the Pythagorean concept of Number.

here before,and this is interpreted exactly as that through the Great
Idea of Eternal Recurrence as expressed through P D Ouspensky in his
“A New Model of the Universe”. A good summary of this idea & its
connection w ith Nietzche’s and Steiner’s take on it is here.

I’ve been influenced much by the 4th W ay – through Gurdjieff and

other teachings. Is it any w onder that I have become a middle aged
Gnostic seeker carrying the lantern of w onder?
Try it and see if it isn’t true. You w ill find a pattern that w ill truly spook
you. If you follow the clues and hints you w ill see the synchronicity of

This is a set of song lyrics I w rote ages ago. I looked and looked for
the cassette recordings of all these songs I recorded w ith a bunch of
mates, all those years ago and I can’t find one! It’s sad because I like
to hear w hat I sounded like singing these and other songs, along w ith
the music my friends made. They may not be the greatest songs
w ritten, but they are mine. Oh w ell, at least I still have the w ords and
as you know I’ve been posting the lyrics from time to time. Below is a

Communicating with Alien Intelligence

I am sometimes mystified how people alw ays seem to connect alien

intelligence w ith Extra Terrestials (ET’s) as if there aren’t
enough alien intelligences on Earth w hen you compare our human
intelligence w ith other forms. OK – w e have the obvious differences
betw een us and monkeys and dolphins and dogs and cats and snails
and snakes etc but w hen w e move aw ay from
so called “sentient” beings into the realm of plants and minerals, most
people assume that intelligence is non existent. Peter Tompkins w rote
a book called “The Secret Life of Plants” w here he show ed plants
having feelings and that they communicate

 these feelings. Now , I can’t
remember w hether it w as Terence
McKenna w ho pointed this out or
someone else, I do know that it
didn’t spring from my forehead, that
one can look at communication
across species in a unique w ay.

W e know that bees communicate by

dancing in the air, that octopii (or is
that octopussies communicate
visually w ith colour changes in their
skin; that w hales through singing –
now , this is communication amongst
themselves. How w ould
communication occur betw een
tw o very different orders of life eg
humans and plants? W ell, someone
(I can’t remember w ho), w rote that
communication betw een plants and
humans happens w hen humans ingest either by eating or smoking,
plants. The
altered state of consciousness that occurs by this act is the plant itself
communicating w ith humans!!
So, from this point of view an alien intelligence communicates
eloquently w ith human intelligence by the pharmocological exchange
w ithin our being. W ay beyond w ords and images something occurs in
our consciousness w hich is a communion w ith the Earth via the
“priestly” mediation of sacred plants.

Cognitive Imperialism

“Archaic Revival” is a book by Terence

McKenna w here he explores issues
regarding consciousness, civilization,
the use of magic mushrooms and he
goes as far as to say that language
may have been generated by the
ingestion of psicylbin. He bases his
argument on the fact that once
people domesticated cattle, there
w ere many mushrooms w hich rose
from the dung! Others have explored
this idea as w ell, particularly w hen the
5,000 year old Ötzi the Iceman w as
found w ith magic (or “medicinal” as
Terence McKenna the mainstream media say)
mushrooms in his little bag.

Now I don’t w ant readers to think that I’m encouraging the ingestion
of magic mushrooms, but it is important to keep an open mind about
the big questions pertaining to consciousness and if experimentation
w ith entheogens opens doors to alternate aspects of the reality
rainbow then w e shouldn’t shut our eyes, minds and hearts to them.
Entheogens means the “god revealing ones” and people are using this
term more often now adays rather than psychedelics I suppose to
“clean” their image. Here is a link w hich is excellent concerning the

I remember many years ago after reading Aldous Huxley’s “Doors of

Perception” and other books of the psychedelic era a few of my ow n
experiments. I w as blow n aw ay by the fact that ingesting a few
mushrooms totally changed my perceptions and made me question the
parameters of w hat is taken to be “real”.

Over the years I became convinced that

just as there is a geopolitical
imperialism there exists a cognitiv e
im perialism . In fact, I now believe that
much of the problems humanity is
confronting in a political w ay stem from
the narrow “reality tunnels” w e w alk
through.
The general hypnosis, indeed, the
slavery of peoples’ aw areness is due to
cognitive imperialism implicit in our
w hole culture. For example, the Inuit
people have over 20 different w ords to
describe 20 different snow s…w e of the
W est only have one w ord “snow ”
because that is all that w e see. The
Aboriginal peoples of Australia also
have many different w ords to describe
“sand” because they cognise many
different “sands” but again w e only have one w ord because that is all
w e see.

These examples are pretty trivial but I think you see my point. W hen
w e move into realms aw ay from the the so called “real” 3 D w orld w e
enter a domain w here w ords become almost useless. For this reason, I
believe, symbolism comes to the fore. Symbols are multivalent entities
w hich cannot be circumscribed by just one linear meaning, thus the
symbol of a triangle or a cross cannot be reduced to just one meaning.
Now , entheogens have been found to reveal multi levels of meaning
simultaneously so that the experience is exactly like a W indow or a
Door opening up to the light. I believe Plato’s analogy of the cave
w here people are strapped to chairs facing a w all upon w hich shadow s
are moving across it depicts the closed realm of darkness. In his story
he tells of one person w ho frees himself from the chains and turns his
head to see that a candle has been creating the shadow s on the w all
of the cave. As he looks around the dark cave he notes a glimmer light
coming from another direction. Slow ly his eyesight adjusts and he
finds himself outside the cave. Initially he is blinded by the intense light
of the sun but as his vision adjusts to the new realm he sees a w hole
new w orld full of colour and life. W hen he returns to the inside of the
cave to tell his friends still strapped to their chairs w atching the
shadow w orld, they think he is crazy. They cannot free themselves
from their cognitive slavery and they believe that the liberated one is
the one w ho is a slave to a delusionary state.
I believe that the cave in Plato’s analogy is the Consensus Reality
w hich has its verity established under the Great Bell Curve w hich
statiticians cite as the realm of reality. W hat I find particularly
interesting is that physics and mathematics are pointing to the new
direction aw ay from the shadow w orld. I’m not a physicist nor a
mathematician but as an ordinary bloke I’m interested in the little I
understand because it is a completely different w orld to that w hich
Isaac New ton experienced w hen the apple hit his head. Indeed, the
apple of New tow n’s day w ould now be 3 different apples and each as
real as each other w hile seeming to be the same apple. Firstly, it w ill
be the 3 D one he felt on his head, secondly it w ill be the apple of
subatomic physics w hich New ton w ould not recognise as real and
thirdly it w ould be an apple w hich w ould not fall on his head but attract
the earth to it. Each of these perspectives are “real” depending on
w hich paradigm w e are operating from.
W hether Carlos Casteneda’s don Juan existed or not, the Yaqui Indian
sorcerer’s idea of different descriptions of the w orld w hich are as real
as each other but in a different w ay holds true.
So, it seems that science is finding some “evidence” of a Global Mind.
Shamans, mystics, magicians, saints and others have know n this
intuitively for millenia. Entheogenic experience just opens the Doors of
Perception – it is up to us to
w alk through and be able to perceive multiple w orlds simultaneously
w ithout being shroomed. As W illiam Blake said in “The Marriage of
Heaven and Hell” , “If the doors of perception w ere cleansed every
thing w ould appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself
up, till he sees all things through’ narrow chinks of his cavern.” (Aldous
Huxley got the title of his book from this quote, just as the rock band,
The Doors, got their name from it as w ell.) This is similar if not the
same as Plato’s individual’s vision w hen he leaves the cave.

Cognitive imperialism is the enemy. The w ay w e become Spirit W arriors

 is to move from the imperialism of the head and into the heart. From
the heart w e feel the suffering and from the heart our actions w ill be
pow ered w ith compassion. I
believe that the Heart of
humanity is connected w ith
the heart of Gaia, the Sun
and the rest of the cosmos.
Indeed, our struggle
against the forces of
Darkness – the Masters of
W ar, the Keepers of
Concentration Camps, the
Greed Kings w ho keep the
poor shackled w ith hunger
– our struggle is a struggle
of Global Mind – Gaia Heart
against those w ho w atch
shadow s on the cave w alls.
The trouble is that the cave
dw ellers, those w ho are C arlos C asteneda
blind and deaf to the Light
and the W ord have the
material pow er.

How ever, I have faith that in these times there w ill be more of us
coming out of the shadow s and as w e adjust our vision to the w orld
of Gaia Heart/Mind w e may usher in peace.

Christians were promulgating a religion in which the core mystery, the
holy sacrament itself, was conspicuous by its absence, later

entheogen, the imposture would be all-too-evident to anyone who had
known the blessing of ecstasy, who had access to personal religious
experiences. Thus a concerted attack on the use of sacred inebriants was

Effective Knowledge = Direct Knowledge

A shaman in a desert may be more effective in the w orld than a

scientist in a laboratory. By more effective I mean more in connection
w ith real know ledge….direct know ledge….direct perception of the flow
and the numbering that crystallizes into the geometry of our
perception. This know ledge because it doesn’t fit into the categories of
accepted consensus reality is more often than not ridiculed as mere
myth…the myth of an invisible w orld closed to our senses five….so, a
Tibetan guide in Nepal w ho can use telepathy to communicate may
have access to technology of w hich w e in the W est are blind to.

I believe that there is the possibility of psychic technology…technology
of the psyche …w hich cannot only send messages betw een tw o living
beings but can also carry messages from the dead and the not- yet-
born…from the past and the future. (See the post “Is Consciousness a
Function of the Brain or Vice Versa” in this blog for further discussion
on this.)
You know as I am w riting this I can sense my need to stand tall and
declare myself a true believer in magic. This is not to say that the
products of science are relegated to the bottom draw er. They are
different responses to the universe each w ith their place and time and
usefulness. If I w as sick, I’d go to my local doctor AND pray.

The visit to the GP is the language that my conditioned self w rapped in

the body recognises as a potent and pow erful healing agent … the
doctor in w hite is the w itch doctor of our culture. The rituals and the
drama of visiting your local GP and then having to go under the knife
w hile in the tw ilight regions of anaesthetised sleep..all these are the
expressions of the Consensus Reality w e share.

The praying is directed to some other unknow n dimension. It doesn’t

matter w hat w e call this ” otherness” because w hatever w e call it the
w ord is never ” it”. This other realm has its ow n law s and practices.
The point is, it is not w hat I direct my energy to but w hether I AM, or
just automatizing my mortality. The more I AM is experienced the more
opportunities there are for me to participate in the REAL w orld…the
inverse w orld to the dominant paradigm.

The internet experience w ill provide an excellent analogue for the

dynamics of psychic space, just as the hologram provided the analogue
for the W HOLE as the ONE. The hologram gives us a static metaphor
for the ONE – internet experience gives us a process metaphor for the
movement of psychic energy. For a more detailed look at this possibility
please see my post “Internet as Analogue of Akashic Mirror”. Internet
experience w ill alter one’s conception of time and space. W hether this
w ill be translated into the general overall consciousness of an
individual I don’t know . My feelings are that only the individual part of
us that w ishes to trancend the familiar w ill have the chance to do so.
The rest of us w ill sleep and automatize mortality. Our only hope is
that more humans w ill w ish to be online w ith the ONE.
As Teilhard de Chardin (1881 – 1955) said,
