Mechanical Engineer Lead

Description

 Carry out Mechanical design of process equipment like pressure vessels, columns,
reactors, heat exchangers and tanks etc.,
 Preparation of Material requisition , Technical evaluation of vendor offers,
 Order specification and review of vendor drawings.
 Should be able to manage multiple projects as Lead Engineer and
 Will also have responsibility for the proper and timely execution.
 Will also be responsible for ensuring that Dept./Disciplines quality management
system is followed taking into account any special contractual requirements.

Qualifications
 Mechanical/Chemical Engineering degree is a must
 Total experience between 16 to 20 years. Minimum 15 years of experience of working
in the static equipment design group of a leading engineering consultancy or in the
design office of a reputed process equipment fabricator.
 Knowledge of material specifications used in the design and construction of process
equipment.
 Knowledge and experiance of working with latest international codes like ASME
section VIII Div 1 and Div 2, TEMA, API 650,API 620, IS 2825 and IBR
 Candidate should be well conversant with the use of softwares like PV Elite,
Compress and hands on knowledge of PDS/PDMS
 Exposure to other international codes and standards
 Participation in 3D model reviews
 Knowledge in proprietary equipment like FRP, Aircooled exchangers, Plate type heat
exchangers, Glass lined equipment etc.
 Knowledge in Flare systems and Fired heaters
 Experience in preparation of FEED documents, PMC projects etc.
 Should be able to lead and guide a group of engineers.
 Good communication skills, verbal and written so as to communicate with client and
lead offices
 Have good understanding of requirements of other groups.
 Good leadership qualities
 Good presentation skills
