Pipe Support Design and Analysis

We have experienced team of engineers who can specify, design and detail pipe supports for all types of projects.
In addition to standard pipe supports, we will design custom special supports to meet your specific needs.

As a design guideline we are using: B31.1, B31.3, EN13480-3, MSSP-58, and MSSP-69.

Piping system may need restraints to control movement, resist occasional loads such as wind and earthquake,
protect sensitive equipment, increase stiffness, reduce vibration...etc. Both restraints and supports for weight are
referred to as pipe supports.
Therefore properly specified, designed and built pipe support plays critical role in the successful operation of the
plants.
If the pipe support is not acting in operation as foreseen in design phase, udesired behavior of piping can cause
danger to people, piping equipment and impact efficiency of the plant.
Pipe Support Field Surveys

Regular periodic inspection of pipe supports is important for successful operation of pipe work. With many
pipe supports operating in rough conditions, it is important to regularly review their condition to identify and
isolate problem supports, before it becomes critical.
Damage often occurs during installation due to improper handling. Damage of support or surface finish during
installation can affect performance and operating life of the pipe support. Importance of field survey is
increasing with the age of piping system.
