otorinolaringolog, umirovljen.
Rođen 1949. u Splitu. Diplomirao na Medicinskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu 1973., Rektorova
nagrada (1972)., doktorirao 1980., disertacija "Trauma u etiologiji deformacija septuma“.
Utemeljitelj funkcijske endoskopske sinusne kirurgije u Hrvatskoj. Do umirovljenja 2014. godine
pročelnik Zavoda za rinosinusologiju KBC-a, Zagreb i voditelj Referentnog centra za rinosinusologiju i
endoskopsku sinusnu kirurgiju Ministarstva zdravlja RH.
Autor međunarodne klasifikacije deformacija nosnoga septuma (1987.). Opisao dva sindroma u
rinologiji (REKAS-Recurrent Epistaxis from Kiesselbach Area Syndrome) i THS (Two Holes
Syndrome). te klinički entitet Rinitis arachnoidalis. Osnivač i dugogodišnji direktor Croatian
International Rhinosurgical Advanced School (CIRAS). Objavio 152 stručno-znanstvena rada (51 u
Current Contentsu), 7 stručnih knjiga te tri zbirke poezije.

Founder of the functional endoscopic sinus surgery in Croatia. Professor and Head of the Dept. of
rhinosinusology at Clinical Hospital Center Zagreb and a Chair of the Referral Center for
rhinosinusology and endoscopic sinus surgery Ministry of Health Republic of Croatia. Author of the
international classification of the nasal septal deformities (1987). Described two clinical syndromes:
REKAS and THS. Described clinical diagnosis of Cobweb rhinitis. The founder of the Croatian
International Rhinosurgical Advanced School-CIRAS. Published 153 papers (52 cited in CC), 7 books
in rhinology and three books of poetry.
Full member of CAMS from 2003.
