Employee Assistance Program
The purpose of the Army Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is to:
Help employees in identifying and resolving personal problems that may af-
fect their job performance and well-being. Assist management in addressing
productivity issues and promote installation work/life/wellness programs.
Job effectiveness can be adversely affected when employees are faced with
mental or emotional problems, family responsibilities, financial, legal difficul-
ties, or dependent (child/elder) care needs. Participation in the EAP is com-
pletely voluntary and will not jeopardize one's job. In addition to providing
training and education, the EAPC can assist supervisors with employees who
are demonstrating problems with their work performance such as increased
absences or tardiness, reintegration back into the workforce after lengthy
absences due to illness or disability, or poor work performance where per-
sonal problems are suspected. The EAP can be contacted directly to provide
a screening or assessment for various types of problems to include health-
related problems, alcohol and drug abuse, marital, emotional, behavioral,
and financial or any other type of problem that may affect an employee.

Treatment and Rehabilitation

ASAP treatment and rehabilitation services are pro-

vided by licensed and certified substance abuse pro-
fessionals. Services offered include Screening & As-
sessment, referral, and Individual/Group/Family
Counseling.
