To figure out the bad component the following procedure should be carried out
• Connect the „test adapter“ to X530 on the PCB –B20 (X530=connector on top of PCB)
• Switch kV limit to position ON
• Switch mA clearance to position locked

• Unscrew the 2 red, 1 black wire on the front side of the multiplier

• Check the varistors mounted on the tube side of the heat current cable.
There should be no short cut across the varistors.
The function of the varistors is to carry the discharge current to chassis in case of tube arcing.
WARNING
Take care on the HV cable when replacing the generator. The cable can nip.

Repetitive GR2-command will return a decimal number from 0 to 16 depending on the generator
status.
1. On board check when powering up : GR2 should return 1 after some seconds,
if not remove –B20 board
2. On board check when switching to ON: GR2 should return 7 after some seconds
3. Switching to XRAY ON : GR2 should return 15 after some seconds
