INTRODUCTION

1.1 PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to present a detailed description of the Cubing Competition
Management. It will explain the purpose and features of the system, the interfaces of the system,
what the system will do, the constraints under which it must operate and how the system will react
to external stimuli. This document is intended for both the stakeholders and the developers of the
system.

1.2. Scope of Project

This software will be a Cubing Competition Managing system for Cubing competition organizer. This
system will be designed to maximize the organizers productivity by providing tools to automate task
that would otherwise have to be performed manually. This maximizes the admins work efficiency.

More specifically, The CCMS is supposed to have the following features.

 The System provides login facility to the Administrators.


 The System provides every user to a registration form that has to be filled with required
details of the competitor.
 The System provides the facility to the administrators for the content of the system to be
managed.
Registration management
Add, delete, cancel registrations, edit information, add payments, change categories and
prices hassle-free.
Billing settings
Collect all the information you need to issue invoices. Make it required or optional – fast,
convenient, and completely secure.
Score breakdown
Get a complete picture of the judging phase. Monitor how each entry is doing in the results.

1.3 INTENDED AUDIENCE

This project is a prototype for the cubing competition management system and it is restricted within
the college premises that has been implemented under the guidance of college professors. This
project is useful for the cubing competition management team and as well as to the competitors.

2.2 Product Functionality


 CCMS provides the login facility to the administrators. After authentication the administrator
can manage the content of the system.
 Administrator can
 Add, delete, cancel registrations, edit information, add payments, change categories and
prices hassle-free.
 Collect all the information you need to issue invoices. Make it required or optional –
fast, convenient, and completely secure.
 Get a complete picture of the judging phase. Monitor how each entry is doing in the
results.

2.3 Users and Characteristics

The users of the system are competitors and the administrators who maintain the system. The
competitors assumed to have basic knowledge of the computers and Internet browsing. The
administrators of the system to have more knowledge of the internals of the system and is able to
rectify the small problems that may arise due to disk crashes, power failures and other catastrophes
to maintain the system. The proper user interface, user manual, online help and the guide to install
and maintain the system must be sufficient to educate the users on how to use the system without
any problems.

2.4 Operating Environment

The system should have a minimum RAM of 256MB and a CPU clock frequency greater than
800MHz. The screen resolution is expected to be1024 by 768 pixels for optimum view.

2.5 Design and Implementation Constraints

 The information of all competitors is to be stored in a database that is accessible by the


CCMS.
 The administrator must have their correct usernames and passwords to enter into the CCMS
administrator mode.
