Complejo Arqueológico Cumbemayo

Esta ubicado 20 Km. al suroeste de Cajamarca y a una altitud de 3500 metros sobre el nivel
del mar. Se trata de una zona arqueológica rodeada de un pintoresco paisaje que alberga
numerosas formaciones geológicas en forma de bosque de piedras o farallones,

Una de las principales atracciones de Cumbe Mayo es el canal de agua de
aproximadamente ocho kilómetros de longitud, tallado en roca viva, que data desde la
época precolombina y este canal es considerado como una de las obras de ingeniería
hidráulica más grandiosas que se ha podido ver en Cajamarca y el país.
Es un lugar donde se mezcla lo pre inca y el entendimiento sobre cómo vivían en comunión
con la naturaleza en total armonía.
