7. Innovation content of work done (about 100 words)

1. Involved in the Indigenization of Industrial Grade Crystal Oscillators for VSSC TVM,
by carrying out characteristic study of 2 types of Crystal Oscillators
(AECXO300LM, F3832 56MHZ)
2. Involved in failure analysis of transistors, diodes & SCRs for VSSC,TVM that leaded to the
correction & improvement in their test plans.
3. Totally responsible for establishing New screening facility for a device
12CW10FN(SMD schottky rectifier ) in Components lab .This is materialized by
studying the device characteristics, failure modes ,further modifications by essential
technical interaction with the designer as well as the user group of VSSC,TVM leading to the
approval of device Test plan and the successful screening of the pilot batch of devices.
4. Involved in the Generation of Modified Screening plan for Solid tantalum
chip(CWRO6/CWRO9) by testing , demonstrating failures , attending QMBs and completing
the screening of nearly 5000 tantalum chip as per the new procedure.

.
8. Major impact reported during the financial year (if any) for work done during previous three years.

 Testing

 As the Officer In Charge of Components lab, screening of 8000 devices(both
active and passive, leaded and SMDs) per month could be ahieved, leading to
achievement of the set target. Revenue of Rs.50 lakhs earned for the year 2013.

During screening of devices the rejections /failures were analysed in each stages.
This helped the customer to change the source of purchase and get quality devices.

Training
Continued Apprentice Training programme (Theory classes and on the job training on
testing)- thereby contributing to the Human Resource development resulting in building
up of technical capability and throughput.

9. Scientific and technological methodologies used in the work function

Lab is NABL accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025.

Testing methodology is based on MIL standards.
Discrete devices testing- MIL 750
Passive devices- MIL 202
Crystal Oscillators- 19500
10. Suggestions (if any) for work functions based on new or emerging scientific principles
