Instruction for filling online application on IIT (ISM) Portal

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS TO BE UPLOADED

All candidates must upload all necessary certificates with their application form (class X –
onwards). (All original certificates are required at the time of the interview) (Maximum Size 500
KB)

SC/ST/OBC candidates must upload relevant certificates from a competent authority (If
applicable). (Maximum Size 500 KB)

PWD candidates must upload Disability Certificate from a competent medical authority (If
applicable). (Maximum Size 500 KB)

Handwritten document one page. (Maximum Size 500 KB)

Passport photo (Maximum Size 100 KB)

Scanned signature (Maximum Size 100 KB)

Scanned fee payment proof (Maximum Size 500 KB)

Sending Application by Post:

After Submitting your application take print of application form, attach copy of all relevant documents
and after signing on each page sent it to the address- DR (Establishment) IIT (ISM), Dhanbad
Jharkhand-826004 by post.
A. Registration

1. Go to the URL “ http://www.iitism.ac.in”

2. In “Quick Access” section click on tab.

3. In next page click on “Click Here” which is in front of “IIT (ISM VACENCY)”

4. In next page click on “Apply” button

5. In next page click on “New User Click Here To Register” link

6. In next page fill your basic information and then click on “Register” button

7. After successful registration you well receive a message and also a verification email to your
email id.
8. Login to your email and verify the your email id by clicking on link sent by “IIT(ISM)
Dhanbad”, after verification you will get message like this

B. Application Form

1. Go to the URL “http://iitism.ac.in/index.php/empreg/Registration/login_page” and login.

2. After successfully login you will got your dashboard like this

3. Click on “Fill Details” tab, a new page will open, fill the details in the opened page and the click
on “Click To Save And Next” button
4. A new page will open, fill the details in the page and click on “Click To Save”. (You may leave the
field empty which is not applicable to you)
5. In next page fill the details. You may use “Click To Add” and “Add More” button to add data
related to particular section. Click to “Click to Save And Next” button on completion. (You may
leave the field empty which is not applicable to you)
6. In next page fill the details. You may use “Click To Add” and “Add More” button to add data
related to particular section. Click to “Click to Save And Next” button on completion. (You may
leave the field empty which is not applicable to you)

7. This is document uploading section. Please be careful at this step. Scan all of your document like
educational qualification certificate, caste/category certification, payment slip etc. Please note that
the file type allowed to upload is “jpg|gif|png|jpeg|pdf” .
8. In the above screen shot, the green circle denote type of document to be uploaded. Note that you
cannot go to the next step until all the items in the list of Uploaded/Not Uploaded Document
became green colored. To upload document please click on the button circled in red.

9. You may still not go to the next step because some document is still to be uploaded
You may now proceed to the next step as all documents has been uploaded.

Note You may upload the documents which are not mention in the list as “Other” document

10. This is the upload section where you will upload your photo, signature and handwritten document.
Please scan your handwritten document also with image and signature. Please note that the file type
allowed to upload is “jpg|jpeg|png”.
Click on “Click To Upload” button to go to next step

11. Congratulation, you have filled all the required details. At this stage you will see all the details
which you have filled earlier. Please ensure that each and every details filled by you is correct. Now
you will got two options here “Edit” and “Continue“. If you feel that there is any error during form
fill up process, you may edit here or edit from dashboard.
12. To edit you application go to home i.e dashboard and click on the “Edit Details” button. You will
got page which will allow to edit your details.
13. Now you may apply for the relevant post. Please, be sure that all the information given by you is
correct, because once you apply for any post and application form is generated then you may not
be able to edit any data. To apply click on “Apply” button from your dashboard.

Click on “Click To Save” to continue.

Click on “Click Here to proceed for payment”


14. This is application fee payment step. Here select payment mode (DD/Online) and fill the required
details. In case of Online payment you will get instruction for online payment and a link which
will take you to the “State Bank Collect”

Now click on “Submit” button


You will get message like this-

15. Now print your application form, attach all relevant document and after signing on each page sent
it to the address- DR (Establishment) IIT (ISM), Dhanbad Jharkhand-826004 by post.
16. Once all the above steps completed, you can see the status and track you application form.

Note=> If you see payment status as “Under verification” then it doesn’t mean that you have not
make payment, it means your payment has not been verified by account section of IIT(ISM).
