1. Purpose
This procedure is to set guideline for implementation
of providing, using, checking and maintain of
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
If necessary this procedure could be further expanded
and developed with additional instruction, manuals or
drawings by each Division or Department.
2. Scope
The procedure shall form an integral part of the HSE
Management System and reference contractual
requirements and specific local legislation.
The procedure shall detail the practical
implementation of the PPE Procedure as applicable
to project operations.
This procedure will apply to activities performed by
personnel employed on the project, together with
personnel assigned to, or visiting the project such as
vendors, specialist contractors or outside agencies.
3. Responsibilities
The following personnel are responsible in
accordance to their competence for the activities
covered by this procedure :
 All Line Managers
 Project / Site Manager
 Appointed safety personnel
 All concerned Employees

1. Tujuan
Prosedur ini dibuat sebagai panduan untuk meng-
implementasikan penyediaan, penggunaan, pengecheckan,
dan pemeliharaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD)
Bila diperlukan prosedur ini dapat diperluas dan
dikembangkan dengan instruksi, pedoman atau gambar
tambahan oleh tiap Divisi atau Departemen.
2. Cakupan
Prosedur ini adalah bagian dari HSE Sistem
Management, persyaratan referensi kontrak, dan
peraturan local yg spesifik
Prosedur ini akan menerangkan penerapan yang praktis
dari procedure APD yang bisa diterapkan dalam proyek
Prosedur ini berlaku untuk semua aktifitas yang dilakukan
oleh pekerja di proyek, bersama dengan perorangan yg di
tugaskan di proyek dan juga pengunjung seperti dari
pabrikan, specialist atau supplier.
3. Tanggung Jawab
Personil berikut ini bertanggung jawab sesuai
kewenangan masing-masing untuk semua kegiatan yang
termasuk dalam prosedur ini:
 Semua Manajer Lini
 Project / Site Manajer
 Personil keselamatan yang ditunjuk
 Seluruh Karyawan yang berkepentingan

5. Procedure
5.1 Introduction
The definition of Personal Protective Equipment is
very broad and covers all protective equipment such
as helmets, footwear, clothing, overalls, gloves, life
jackets and Safety harness. Ordinary working clothes
or clothing provided which is not specifically
designed to protect the health and Safety of the
wearer is not within the definition.
5.2 Location which requires PPE
- Site Office
- Construction Site on Ground
- Construction Site at Height
- Workshop
- Warehouse
5.3 Standard Dress Requirement
Long leaves shirt and trousers or overall with
blue/red color.

5. Prosedur
5.1 Pengenalan
Pengertian dari Alat Pelindung Diri adalah sangat luas
dan mencakup semua Alat Pelindung seperti Helm,
Sepatu, Pakaian, Kacamata, Jaket Keselamatan dan
Safety Harness. Pakaian kerja biasa atau pakaian yg tidak
di rancang untuk melindungi kesehatan dan keselamatan
daro pemakainya tidak termasuk dalam pengertian ini.
5.2 Lokasi yang memerlukan APD
- Kantor Proyek
- Lokasi Konstruksi di permukaan
- Lokasi Konstruksi di ketinggian
- Bengkel
- Gudang
5.3 Persyaratan Pakaian Standar
Baju tangan panjang dan celana Panjang, atau overall
dengan warna biru/merah.

5.4 Head Protection
All employees are required to wear Safety Helmet in
construction area and in other locations where there
is a risk from falling objects or restricted headroom.
Persons with long hair should ensure that it is
suitably tied or tucked under the helmet.
Due to the deterioration of helmet material caused by
exposure to weather all helmets should be changed
three years after issue or immediately after any
damage or impact.
Helmets should not be stored in direct sunlight.
Helmets need not be worn in any office or canteen or
other designated area.
5.5 Foot Protection
All employees are required to wear foot protection in
construction area and in other locations where there
is a risk from heavy and shown objects, falling
chemicals and kick hazards.
Employee is to ensure the safety shoes/boot issued is
comfortable fit and sized suitably.
Safety shoes MUST have steel toe protection.
Safety boots will be replaced when worn out.
5.6 Eye Protection
All employees are required to wear eye protection
when carry out the work dispose dust, working with
chemical, hot work, welding, cutting, grinding work.
Lenses are to be kept in good condition, free of
excessive scratching.
5.7 Hand Protection
Hand and arm protection can be provided by a
number of different types of glove or gauntlet.
The type will be decided by identification of the
hazard and the resultant risk.
For example: Cut and abrasive resistant,
Chemical resistant, Heat or cold resistant, Low
vibration and impact resistant

5.4 Pelindung Kepala
Semua Pekerja diwajibkan mengunakan Helm
keselamatan di area konstruksi dan di lokasi lain dimana
ada resiko dari benda jatuh atau area terlarang.
Pekerja dengan rambut panjang harus di ikat atau
dimasukan kedalam Helm.
Dikarenakan kerusakan perlahan dari material Helm
disebabkan cuaca, semua Helm harus diganti setiap tiga
tahun atau segera bila ada kerusakan.
Helm tidak boleh di simpan dalam paparan sinar
matahari langsung.
Helm boleh tidak dipakai di lokasi kantor, kantin atau
area lain yg membolehkan.
5.5 Pelindung Kaki
Semua Pekerja diwajibkan menggunakan Sepatu
Keselamatan di area konstruksi dan di lokasi dimana ada
resiko kaki terimpa objek berat, ketumpahan bahan kimia
dan bahaya lain yg melukai kaki.
Pekerja harus memastikan Sepatu keselamatan nyaman
dipakai dan sesuai ukurannya.
Sepatu Keselamatan HARUS memiliki pelindung baja.
Sepatu Keselamatan akan diganti bila sudah rusak.
5.6 Pelindung Mata
Semua Pekerja diwajibkan memakan pelindung mata saat
melakukan pekerjaan yg berdebu, bahan kimia, kerja
panas, pengelasan, pemotongan, dan pekerjaan meng-
gerinda.
Lensa pelindung mata harus dijaga dalam kondisi yang
baik dan bebas dari goresan.
5.7 Pelindung Tangan
Pelindung tangan dapat disediakan dalam beberapa tipe
sarung tangan sesuai dengan identifikasi bahaya dan
resiko akhirnya
Sebagai contoh: Sarung tangan yang tahan potong dan
gerusan, tahan terhadap bahan kimia, panas atau dingin,
atau tahan getaran dan benturan.

5.7 Hand Protection
When a Safe working platform cannot be provided
then Safety harnesses should be used where person
can fall more than 1.8 meters.
All harnesses should be in good condition and
inspected prior to use.
Suitable fixing points should be established such that,
so far as is possible, person have free movement
without the need to unclip and refit the harness. A
running line may be preferable.

5.7 Pelindung Tangan
Saat platform kerja yang aman tidak dapat di terapkan
maka Safety Harness harus digunakan dimana pekerja
bisa terjatuh dari ketinggian 1.8 meter atau lebih.
Semua Harness harus dalam kondisi yg baik dan di
inspeksi sebelum digunakan.
Titik2 fix yg sesuai harus di pastikan sehingga sejauh
memungkinkan, pekerja dapat bergerak bebas tanpa perlu
membuka dan memasang kembali cantelan.
Bila memungkinkan “running line” lebih disukai.
