Controls
The ALR & MHP units are equipped with a microprocessor based The ALP units are supplied without controller. A specific terminal
compact controller consisting of a user terminal and a basic strip located in the electrical panel is supplied to receive unit control
electronic board located in a unique box. and unit shutdown signals via the customer control system.
The user terminal has digital display and programming keypad The control display panel has the features as described
allowing set points and unit control parameters to be displayed below.

Note: All ALR and MHP units, with or without integrated hydraulic module, are supplied with inlet/outlet water pressure tapping points to
control the water pressure drops of the heat exchanger.
Important: For all air conditioning installation with a chilled water distribution, it is necessary that the whole distribution system must be sized
to restore a volume of 15 liters/kW of which the cooling capacity to be considered corresponds to the minimum step of capacity reduction
of the machine. In some cases, it wil be necessary to add a storage capacity and an expansion tank on the going or the return of the chilled
water piping system.

Selection Procedure
Selection example For conditions different from those indicated in
performance tables, interpolation is allowed; however,
Given: extrapolation is not permitted.
Cooling capacity 21.0 kW minimum
Ambient air temperature 35 °C 2. Calculate the evaporator lps:
Chilled water 12 / 7 °C
Evaporator fouling factor 0.044 m2.°C/kW l/s = 24.6 / (4.186 x 5) = 1.175 l/s
HCFC 22
3. Determine the evaporator pressure drop from water pressure
1. From performance table of page 9, the model ALR 07P will drop charts in page 12.
produce 24.6 kW cooling capacity with 8.9 kW power input.

(1) Tolerance on supply voltage: ± 10 %.
(2) The pump is adjusted for operation in cooling mode; in heating mode, the water ∆T will be changed and will be obtained with the following
formula : ∆T = Heating capacity (kW) / [4.186 x Chilled water flow (l/s)].
